Park Central New York

Pretty basic for a 4 star hotel although staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ok and clean.Minutes from central park. Make sure you press what floor you want before you enter the lift or you will be travelling up and down.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Never had trouble getting a cab. The check in service was slow because of the long line. Did not know if it was just a group coming in at one time or not. The only negative of the hotel is their elevator system which asks people to punch their floor in then directs you to what elevator you are supposed to take. This ends up sending out most elevators empty or without maximum capacity. We were always waiting for the elevator

Excellent location,very clean with good service and friendly staff.Restaurant pricing expensive however there are many other options close by .Pricing very competitive .

Had a wonderful experience at the Park Central Hotel. The location is fantastic - so close to the park and metro. The room was nice and large and the bedding was very comfortable. If I had to say something negative, I guess it would be that one or more of the a/c units in the fitness center seemed to be malfunctioning so it wasn't the most comfortable but the exercise room and equipment was sufficient to get the job done. It may be fixed by now, who knows? And if you're not concerned with working out much, it won't matter anyway. The attendants at the fitness center were very nice and welcoming at least, and the place seemed pretty clean overall. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to any type of traveler -- on business on personal visits, as I was there for both. Also, this may not be a concern for a lot of people, but I think it's worth mentioning -- there are like four elevator shafts, and they're pretty quick and efficient. Some hotels I've stayed can be great but sometimes there's only one or two slow running elevators and you have to wait forever. Not very efficient in building with high floors. That can sometimes take the wind out of your sails when you're on the go. Overall, can't go wrong with the Park Central Hotel, especially with the low rates and low taxes. (as a side bar, I don't know why or how hotels can charge so much for taxes -- it's ridiculously high in some cases and very inconsistent. it's seem totally arbitrary.)

The hotel was in a good location giving us access to the park and many city sites. The downside to this great location was the state of the room when we checked in. There was trash in the bins, the safe was not working and the Internet connection would not work through the Ethernet connection. As well well in general the room had a lot of dust and did not seem to have been cleaned well for a while. Some of the staff were helpful while others working at the reception were not friendly and did not solve our problems.

Great room for weekend price at great location. Good work out room with 5 treadmills, free weights, multiple machines, towels, water,etc.

Was out of town from ohio and first trip to NYC, had sum problems with our reservations but the front desk clerk was more than accomodating!!!! Great experience at this hotel, would book it again

CLEAN, FRIENDLY SERVICE, GOOD PRICE

Good, not great. It has a strange layout. My room was right next to a storage room and there was a constant weird noise. I did not complain because it was just for one night.

Sorry, but I will not stay there again if I can avoid it. Too small!!!!
