Park Central New York

This is a very hotel in the perfect location, however there was no air conditioning the entire time I was there.

We arrived to our hotel and we were greeted by a friendly person, he accommodated our request to have our two rooms on the same floor - however, they turned out to be on opposite ends of the floor. Not the end of the world by any means. We were surprised by the housecleaning carts that created an obstacle course to our room. Turns out, this is common place and we encountered variations of this course every evening upon our return. Maid service is lacking - while we tipped everyday before we left, our trash can was always found on its side, under the sink, the towels became fewer and fewer as the days went on. We asked to be a part of the saving water program and not have our towels washed everyday - it's what we do at home so we were all in support of that. Did not realize that it meant that we would lose a towel or two each day. The assistance in the little store was insulting. Apparently we were interrupting something more important that only the salesperson knew about and we were almost ignored and when we did get attention, it seemed to be a problem. Seems like someone needs a time out. The location was ideal - the doormen were delightful and the concierge?s were beyond helpful.

The air conditioning was barely functioning during a recent two day stay when the temperature was in the high 80's The staff's attitude was-who cares. They told one person I heard complaning to go out and buy a fan. A sign at check-in indicating there as a problem, and it was unlikely to be corrected for a few days would have been a good start.

if you want a quiet NYC room the inner atrium area is excellent - but tiny room to small to read a newspaper in and irritating add on charge for internet access

The Park Central New York was disappointing. The shower liner had mold growing on it. The shower grout had mold and pink colored slime on it. It took 2 calls and 3 days to have the shower cleaned properly. I was unable to connect to the internet using the ethernet cable in the room. I placed 3 calls, even spoke with technical support, and still wasn't able to connect. The room was not vacuumed once while I was there. I cannot recommend this hotel, mainly because of the total lack and/or slow response when calling.

I was in for site seeing and to relax with some shopping. The walls in our rooms were dirty, the head board on the beed was missing trip, wall paper coming up, and the blow dryer blew out flames. Small cramped room.

Easy check-in, hotel was full. Room very disappointing. Location and staff were great. Conference food and service was good. They did switch my room, but seems all are outdated, some more worn than others.

Sorry, but I will not stay there again if I can avoid it. Too small!!!!

The hotel was in a good location giving us access to the park and many city sites. The downside to this great location was the state of the room when we checked in. There was trash in the bins, the safe was not working and the Internet connection would not work through the Ethernet connection. As well well in general the room had a lot of dust and did not seem to have been cleaned well for a while. Some of the staff were helpful while others working at the reception were not friendly and did not solve our problems.

Rooms are sub-par, beds are not very comfortable, air conditioner noisy.Only 2 elevator and the controls for them broke constantly, causing long queue lines just to get to/from your room.Also somehow they screwed up my [...] order and said I only booked 1 day even tho I clearly booked 2 days with receipt to prove it. Had to call [...] to straighten it out, ended up wasting alot of time.
