The Waldorf Astoria Hilton
Nice hotel in it's day. However now only 4 stars. Everything is so over priced. Sunday brunch buffet is $ 95.00. Mini bar can of soda is $6.60. Even charged $8.00 to use the computer in the business office just to print out my boarding pass. Room nothing special and small. 25 ft. X 56 ft. Maid service very fast. Front desk nice.

The Waldorf is still the Grand Dame of NYC!
Another wonderful stay @ The Waldorf!. Not just the grandeur of the lobby, but the attentiveness of the staff, the deliciousness of the breakfast @ Oscars,,, but they wrote the book on professionalism. A hotel is not just about what they do right, but how they handle problems. There was some unidentified noise on the floor above me, waking me up throughout the night . They sent someone up to check it 3 times. They changed my room for me while I was away from the hotel the next day and I returned to a wonderful room and 2 very good nights of sleep. They wrote the book on how to do it RIGHT. PS Sir Harry's is perfect setting to begin the evening in a chic, softly lit bar.

Perfect weekend away
Went for a special weekend away in New York and had a fantastic time at the Towers. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive and the suite was incredible. We'd asked for views of the Chrysler Building and that's exactly what we got from every window. The suite was grand, the bed extremely comfortable. The only down side were the slow, relatively old TVs, but then we weren't in NYC to watch the television. I'd strongly recommend for anyone looking for that special trip - get in touch first to let them know your plans as they were very helpful and generous for us.

Great clock at the hall
My daughter who is 11 enjoyed so much to live in a very art deco hotel. But the must extraordinary for her was to hear the clock in the lobby sounds. She was looking for the time all the time to be there and hear it.

Love the Waldorf
I live in New York, but wanted to treat us to a nice room in mid-town. I work on Wall Street and have arranged many hotels and parties for the banks. I must say, this hotel stands out still as one of the finest in NYC, with a long history (for a reason). They did not have any rooms left so we were upgraded to a King Suite. What's not to love.

understated elegance
I knew this hotel with all its history and connections to the rich and famous would be an experience and i wasn't disappointed. Grand entrance lobby, marble floors, chandeliers, pile carpets and friendly welcoming staff...lovely. Room comfortable but a little dated altho' perhaps in keeping with the hotel going thro' some renovation/improvements currently. No kettle provided in the room and that's not good. Food and drinks expensive but what would you expect from 4 nudging 5 star hotel in Manhattan? You can always eat/drink out. $14 for 4 slices of underdone breakfast toast however was outrageous and indefensible. It makes a good story tho' and overall i enjoyed the 4 nights we were in the care of the Waldorf Astoria staff
