Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Downtown

MY EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. THE STAFF WERE MOST HELPFUL-I NEEDED SCISSORS & TAPE & WAS GIVEN THIS IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WOULD HAVE LIKED A FULL LENGTH MIRROR IN MY ROOM(1510) THE BREAKFAST WAS NICE & THE FOOD FRESH. I USED THE BUSINESS AREA & WAS PLEASED. THE STAFF GET 5 STARS.THE VALET PARKING WAS EFFICIENT.

I had a very good stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Downtown. It is convenient to all the local districts, near the statehouse, with several bars and restaurants within two or three blocks. Staff was nice and the room was clean. Thanks.

Overpriced. I paid for a hotel experience which was more similar to a motel experience. There was no convenient parking or assistance that provided convenient parking. When we arrived, the room was not ready. When received a room, it was dirty. The staff could have been more comprimising. The wait staff offered no assistance with luggage or opening doors. The breakfast was dis-satisfying. Bed was lumpy. Both my wife and I were very dissatisfied with our stay. The only positive was that the hotel was located close to our destination.

i enjoyed my stay at the Marriott in Columbus and would stay again.

Wonderfull hotel. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They need a restaurant in the hotel.They also need to fill or block off large open space where a restaurant could go.

I went on the weekend of 'The Ohio State University' graduation to see my little sister get her MBA. The room seemed a tad bit overpriced for what we got, but there were 10,000 students graduating that weekend and I understand the laws of supply and demand. The room was smaller than expected and the front desk refused to upgrade me (at cost) to a larger one even [...] after they explained there were larger rooms available. Also, there was too much hair on the floor = disgusting. The towels felt like Brillo pads. The bed and linen were really comfortable and above par. Instead of valet, we simply parked on the street directly in front of the hotel where the meters went unsupervised for the most part :). At the 14th floor, the view was quite pleasant, but I'd rather stay in the lower rated Red Roof Inn which is in walking distance, cleaner, and designed as a hotel instead of a bank converted into a hotel. Oh yeah...there was NO VENTING in the bathroom.

The Residence Inn Columbus is excellent, from the warm, welcoming staff at the desk to the tidy and super comfy room. The hotel is housed in an old bank, making for an impressive entrance to what could have been a blah hotel. The main architectural details of the bank are all there, including the vault, where the huge complimentary breakfast is served. The original blueprints of the bank are framed and displayed near the business center. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in, especially for the price range.

stayed here bc it was within walking distance to meetings that i had in the downtown area. i only stayed one night, but was happy with service, hot breakfast buffet, big bathroom. room was arranged a little awkwardly to accommodate the kitchen, which i did not use, but was otherwise very comfortable, quiet and clean in appearance. bed too soft for my taste. i like how the cable service actually provided hi-def programming to match the hd lcd tv, compared to other places who just have a nice tv, but make you watch grainy standard def programming.
