Located on beautiful Columbia River. Views of river and mountains available. River front trolley. Close to shopping and restaurants. FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET IN ALL ROOMS. So not request roll aways. Do not request non smoking rooms if not available. All Comfort Suites are smoke free.

Worst hotel experience EVER

Reserved suite w/2 beds & hideabed. Got 2 queens. Told them 1st thing in am. Was told they would fix. Returned to hotel w/no changes. Was told they had no suites, no roll away, no hideabeds. Told me only thing thing they could do was return money & i could find another hotel. It was 7:00pm, w/88 yr blind, handicap mom & 2 little kids, being handicap myself I had no option. Asked them to find me room, not their responsibility cause I booked w/agent not them.

Fort Stevens is excellent, short drive to beach, column is a must see!

good basic hotel

location is not bad but it's just on the edge of town... great location if you are visiting someone in the coast guard. the staff is young and not very attentive but helpful once you get their attention. room was clean, decent, good sized. liked that there was a small fitness center and self laundry area. waffles at the free complimentary breakfast was nice. good value for a decent place

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

go to the Bow Picker for the best tuna fish and chips on the coast if they are open. Open 11 - 6 ish or till they run out of fish... cash only! limited menu but so worth it... not greasy at all! just across the street from the Colombia River Maritime Museaum. Great Museam by the way... worth a visit!

Overpriced hotel in Astoria

Not at all what I expected for the price. Don't mind paying for a hotel that merits the rate they charge; however,elevator had graffiti which gave a bad impression from the beginning of stay. Not a lot of choices in Astoria so travelers are at their mercy when it comes to pricing. Hotel just didn't seem to put any extra effort into interior or exterior attractiveness. Only thing positive was the cleanliness of the room which I guess is all that's important.

Fishing trip

I travel nearly every week on business, I found this hotel smelly, not very clean, and not at all like the picture. It would have been great at $59.00 a night. It was way over priced. This was my first experience with Orbit and I doubt I'll ever use it again.
