Hermiston value
If you need basic lodging, a very good choice. No frills, but the room was very comfortable, at an better than reasonable price.

Short walk from hotel
We walked to Safeway. They had chinese dinner that you could pick several items from for only $10. We had so much left we took the rest with us and had it the next night.

Nice Workers, Rooms and Breakfast Too
While planning a trip to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Hermiston, OR I read a review about the Oak Tree Inn. The reviewer claimed that the Oak Tree Inn was conveniently located in a quiet part of town and was very clean. That sounded good so we booked a 3 night stay. We found the review to be true PLUS we were given vouchers for breakfasts at a nearby Shari's Restaurant when we checked. A nice surprise!

Quiet location, friendly efficient staff.
Oak Tree Inn Hermiston was without exception one of the quietest, easiest to sleep in room I have ever had in a motel. The staff was very helpful. I had not activated my debit card and when it would not work they talked me through what might and might not be the problem. I simply went out and got my husband's whose debit card was activated. This saved us a lot of hassle the rest of the trip. They also were very considerate of the fact that we had a grandbaby with us and were most helpful in getting us settled fast so we could put her to bed. The recliner came in very handy for the middle of the night wake up call in helping to put the baby back to sleep.
