Sofitel Philadelphia

The location was within walking distance from our office. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. This is the second stay.

I have stayed at the Sofitel Philly multiple multiple times and have never been disappointed. My room as thoroughly clean and the service as flawless as usual. Enjoy!

very good all over, but my room smelled like it was a smoking room before and was not cleaned well enough.

Wow, they even let me check in an hour or so early...because I happened to be there.

Great location and good bar to meet friends. The rooms are very nice. But the hall are unusually loud; so normal actions, shutting doors etc, echoes down the hallway.

We stayed two nights while in town for a wedding. The front desk was very friendly, offering to hold our bags since we arrived a little before checkin time, and were equally courteous when we returned. The room (regular, 1 King) was quite spacious even with the king size bed. It had a small sitting area with a coffee table, as well as a desk on a different wall (and a large flat screen TV). The closest was also spacious and felt like the kind of closet you'd want in your house rather than the typical hotel closet. French doors led to the bathroom that had a reasonably sized (glass) shower stall and separate tub. All in all, an elegant place to stay in a good location. We had dinner around the corner at Alma de Cuba - great ambience and delicious food! We didn't try the restaurant in the hotel, and lacking other options went to Dunkin Donuts for a quick breakfast.

Beds are extremely comfortable, nice bathrooms, big LCD TV. Recently renovated ina first class way. We were surprised by the number of people with dogs staying there. Any/all rooms could have had a dog in it and this will present problems for people with allergies.They should restrict dogs to just certain rooms, like smoking rooms and not put them in any/all rooms.

Great Hotel. Reserved a junior suite on 6th Floor. Absolutely beautiful. Only minor problem was that we couldn't get the minibar open one night but hotel maintenance fixed it. Parking was $46/night which is expensive but not unheard of in Philly or NYC.

The Sofitel Philadelphia was a great experience. I was not familiar with Philly and the hotel staff was quick to give us directions and a walking map. The room was HUGE and spotless. The beds were very comfortable. I normally have hard time falling asleep in hotels but not this one. Very quiet! The lobby is breathtaking with a concierge desk right as you walk in. The bathroom was top of the line and fully equipped with separate shower and tub with floor to ceiling limestone surround, granite counter top with stainless sink and two frosted glass doors. They even had live Bamboo in the bathroom! Only negative of the bathroom was the unsightly peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel has a check in of 3 PM. I would say this was disappointing and not expressed to me before I reserved the room. The only other thing I would warn of is that we checked our bags because we arrived before the 3 PM check in and the concierge was kind enough to hold our bags, however, the bags were left unsecured in the middle of the lobby. Anyone could have walked away with my baggage without someone noticing. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious by not worth $15 for any omelette! Overall, we had a great experience and if I am ever in Philly again, I will be sure to consider this hotel again.
