For a city centre hotel & at the price paid it doesn't get a lot better. Away from the dodgier Omonia area & only only 150 metres from the metro. The rooms are a little dated & the shower compact

Eat in the atmospheric Plaka district 15 minute walk or less than 10 minute metro ride away & not too expensive. Flea market there is not too expensive with a bit of haggling

Because this hotel is so close to the Metro, you can get to just about every part of Athens with little or no trouble. I would stay near a metro if I were you. It saves time and money. It's cheap, clean, and runs like clockwork! Don't buy any of those pre-packaged tour trips. Do your homework and research where it is you want to go and then do it on your own. You save a lot of money and can do things at your own pace. That's what I did.
