Iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain is less than 5 miles away, and this popular, rewarding hike through oak woodlands leads to a summit with panoramic views of the Marches. Foodies will love being less than 5 miles from Abergavenny, the food capital of Wales, where you can savour plenty of local fare at the many eateries or at the market. Alternatively, there is plenty of history to discover, including the must-visit Big Pit National Coal Museum (6.5 miles) or one of the many castles in the area.

In the centre of the room, you can gather to enjoy unhurried meals at the lovely wooden dining table with a view looking out into the garden.
