Room was lovely and is nice and new. Only concerns I had was we could hear the people in the room above us stomping around late at night, room was also very stuffy and hot despite us adjusting temperatures.

Discrimination against us as a family

This stay was about poor facts on the site about the suite that was booked and the fact that the M Club (Executive club) was restricted to 18 years and above... This was only disclosed on check in never stated on booking site. This is very close Discrimination against us as a family. As I said to the Marriott I can take my children into the Qantas business lounge but was denied access to the M Club even though we PAID for the use of it.

The Adelaide Marriott is the latest 5* hotel to grace South Australia’s capital city. Set in the former city General Post Office, the hotel is an excellent mix of old and new, the facade retaining the original features of the Victorian era Post Office & the rooms modern and well designed. With it being set in the heart of the CBD, Adelaide’s premier shopping & eating venues are only a short walk away. The staff are extremely friendly & accomodating as you would expect with Marriott. Our stay included breakfast (and parking) with all tastes catered for including cold meats, cooked breakfasts, fruit, danish, bread and commercial Nespresso coffee machines. Our room faced the courtyard away from King William Street and Victoria Sq which meant our view consisted of tall office blocks as well as loud music from the restaurant which has been operating prior to the hotel opening for many years, I say loud, but I suggest environmental factors including the surrounding buildings have a large bearing on channeling the noise upwards. Parking for the hotel is off site, about 5 min walk, valet parking is available. The bars at the hotel were lovely with a great selection of local alcohol. there is also a gym and pool which was a plus for us. Ultimately we were impressed with the hotel but this was tempered by the loud music from the restaurant below, would we stay again? Yes but I would like to try a higher floor on the Vic Sq side.
