Cat park was a joke, had to walk up a lot of stirs to get to it, I got caught in a locked fire escape and had to walk up 8 lights of steps to get into hotel. Light wouldn’t go off next to the bed so was in my eye all night Rooms are dated Staff were nice

There was trouble with the lifts so one day there was quite a wait to get to ground floor and other days it was just slow as they were one lift down, I am sure this isn't a common occurrence but impacted our stay. Location is brilliant, able to walk to so many places.

The Stamford Plaza is well overdue for a refurbishment. We had lots of problems - no table and chairs, no toiletries, broken toilet seat, no water pressure, the hardest beds I have ever slept on. When we reported an issue, it was attended to very promptly. On our last night we were awoken by people in the room next door and somewhere in the hotel someone was smoking.
The view from our room was great!

Terrible Stay. Old and dated hotel which is more of a 3-4 star hotel. Toilet roll holder fell off wall, shower head too low and non adjustable, shower bath lining coming off, carpet stained, tap beer flat. Generally a 3 star hotel.

Would’ve been nice to have been informed that the lifts in the car park and lobby were currently being fixed before or during booking so we could’ve made an informed decision of our recent stay. The notice came only AFTER the booking was made. Apart from the saga with the lifts we enjoyed our stay in our comfortable room and bed. Great value for money and the location was unparalleled - close to everything. Will stay again in the future. Hopefully new lifts would’ve been installed by then and breakfast variety would’ve been improved too especially the lackluster service from staff who forgot we paid and ordered for coffee only to be served after I reminded her that she’s already served 4 people who ordered AFTER us - to which she just nodded with no apology but said ‘straightaway’ instead through gritted teeth. Unfortunately these types are the ones that drag down the otherwise prestigious name of a brand such as Stamford.
