Mixed Feelings

Patricia is welcoming and helpful; she gave a gift, a map and local information. She responds quickly to communication. The farmhouse is big; set in green grounds but isolated - too far to walk into Aiguillon. A petrol station and a supermarket are a short drive. You drive to access any river, pool or beach.The shaded area under a canopy of vines with plastic table, chairs and BBQ is good for eating outside.That's the only outside facility, apart from the garden which you could walk in. The lounge and the dining room are big with an eclectic mix of furniture. The two large bedrooms have comfortable, clean beds, wooden floors and rugs. One bedroom lacks drawers; it has a wardrobe and a knitting machine which you could put things on. The other has a cupboard for wardrobe; lots of coat hangers, but musty - we left the doors open. The large dining kitchen has a range of freestanding white goods and appliances which work fine. The host uses part of the freezer - still plenty of room. The only small worktop is a cracked, tiled one which is hard to keep clean. Plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. Kitchen cutlery worn /needs cleaned. Wooden implements, chopping board, kitchen knives need replaced. Plenty of cleaning materials, toilet rolls, etc. Host stores own old stuff in cupboards. Drawers have lots of odds and ends in. Fire safety concerns; huge boiler - no CM detector, big house - much wood / polystyrene tiles - only one smoke detector on ground floor.

Nettes Haus mit viel Platz und einer schönen großen Terrasse, die Hundesicher eingezäunt ist. Dafür ist der kleine Park nicht direkt an die Terrassse angebunden.Es ist alles vorhanden was man so braucht.Im Ort gibt es zwei gute Bäckereien und einen Wochenmarkt und ein Einkaufszentrum ist ganz in der Nähe. Es gibt sehr schöne Fahrradrouten in der Umgebung.Francois, der das Haus betreut ist auch sehr nett und Hilfsbereit.Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

La description de l'annonce est conforme à la réalité. Nous avons apprécié la décoration, l'emplacement, le calme... La région recèle quelques beaux sites, villages, jardins ...Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement François qui a été notre contact et qui nous a accueilli à notre arrivée. Il a pris le temps de nous contacter par téléphone pour nous donner des informations sur la location, la région ...Idem lors de notre arrivée. Sa réactivité, son accessibilité, son aide, ses conseils, sa disponibilité, son sourire et sa gentillesse sont des atouts indéniables que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. Merci aussi pour le "super" cadeau de bienvenue qui était très bien garni : des tomates cerises et courgettes du jardin, vins, pâté, confitures, café...locaux. Une belle mise en valeur des produits de la région. Nous avons été ravis d'occuper la maison de famille des propriétaires qui ont à coeur de faire vivre cette belle maison. Bien sûr il y aura toujours des petites remarques négatives mais lorsqu'on loue une résidence de vacances il faut s'adapter et accepter les petits inconvénients. En ce qui nous concerne (ce sont simplement des petits plus que nous aurions appréciés), nous suggérons qu'il y ait un apport de casseroles, de grands plats .... Et comme nous aimons regarder la télévision au moment des repas, peut-être qu'un petit aménagement rendrait la chose possible? Bien cordialement. Joëlle et Jean-Marie

un endroit très agréable

Une belle et grande maison très bien équipée avec un grand jardin clôturé et pleins d'arbres fruitiers. Un bon accueil nous a été réservé par la propriétaire. Cette maison est située dans une région magnifique.

Location à recommander, à proximité de nombreux centres d'intérêt

Excellent séjour dans cette ancienne métairie propre, claire et spacieuse, au calme dans la nature, proche en outre des commodités de la ville plaisante d'Aiguillon. La localisation est idéale pour visiter la région : villages médiévaux, bastides, nombreuses randonnées dans les vignobles, au bord (ou sur...) du canal de la Garonne, de la Garonne elle-même, du Lot et de la Baïse. Bordeaux également n'est qu'à 1 heure de route.
