The room and premises were clean. Front desk person was pleasant. Cons- $20 parking fee, went to breakfast( early as to beat the rush) and they were already out of waffle mix. When asked about it, just said “ no more” that was disappointing. Lamp shade was broken in room ( see photo below)

Front desk staff excellent and well spoken. Breakfast was OK, but had the world's slowest toaster. Room was quiet and A/C/ quiet, too. Location convenient, but a little spooky at night. Had not been to Albany for 40 years, so the whole trip was a revelation. Highly recommend the pizza at "The Fountain" restaurant!

This hotel is a nice surprise. It's located in a slightly out of the way area in downtown Albany, but it is pleasant and comfortable and handy to interstate. I would recommend it.

The hotel itself was pretty good. The rooms were large, comfy, and pretty clean. There were a lot of dead gnats in and around the plumbing. Not a big deal, but worth noting. The young man at the front desk was great. He was polite, engaging, and honest. He only had one restaurant recommendation, but we quickly learned that that was because there is not much in the area and especially not much on Sunday nights. He did his best. There was a slight miscommunication about breakfast. We were told by two different front desk people that it started at 6:00 am, but when we arrived downstairs a bit before 6:00, we waited and waited. (We hoped to be on the road shortly after 6:00.) When we asked the kitchen staff, we were told that it didn't open until 6:30. Not usually a bit deal, but we would have simply left when we woke up instead of sitting there waiting. We didn't wander beyond reception and the room, but the building seemed to be in good condition. It was also great that there was EV charging. Woohoo! The area around the hotel was so-so. It had a lot of vacant lots, trash, and run-down buildings. It was clear that the area was in transition. Had we been out at night, it would have felt a bit scary. Overall, it was a positive experience, and given the good price, I would book this place again.

I had an excellent stay. The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in and a comfortable experience throughout. The room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and thoughtfully maintained. Amenities such as the gym, breakfast service, and Wi-Fi met expectations. I would highly recommend this property for business travellers and look forward to staying here again. only minor problem i had was the air conditioning unit did not provide heat and stuck on a minimum blowing cold air so bit uncomfortable for cold nights.

It would have been nice to know during the reservation process that there was also an additional parking fee. It would have also been nice to know if there were a restaurant inside the hotel or if we should have brought food from an outside place. Downtown Albany is not the safest area to be walking at night for a place to eat. The heat in the room would not turn on (thermostat max temp 68).Normally in June this would not be a problem but it's been cold for this time of year and almost needed an additional blanket. Overall, a decent experience and I would choose to stay again in the future.

I arrived late, after 10PM but was told upon check-in that my room was no longer available despite my booking a week ahead. The clerk, bless her, made a call to be able to rebook me for another room with a king size bed (as originally booked). If there is a change with the reservation I would have appreciated an email or some kind of notification. It led to a lengthy check in which was unfair to the people waiting behind me, myself and the woman working the counter who was just trying to do her job. A head's up would have rectified everything for me personally, but it leaves a bad taste in ones mouth that my 2 minute check-in turned into 20 minutes because the room I paid for in advance was booked.

The hotel is clean, well-preserved and maintained. The surrounding area though, does not appear to be safe at night. It is behind a bus terminal and looks industrial but without many businesses open.
