Club Albufeira, June 2023

Overall we did enjoy ourselves at this place. The start of our stay was anything but pleasant. We arived early and after trying to contact our host several times we went to the resort office where the man we talked to refused to help us in any way. We ended up walking about 1 km up steep hills with our luggage an found our apt. No one was there and tried calling our host, texting him and texting the owner. Our check-in time came and went. Finally we got a call and given a code to get the key. We should have be either texted, e-mailed or phoned this information long before. Once we got in and closed the door, the doorknob fell off. The host finally showed up late and when we expressed our frustration, he got defensive and made many excuses and tried to blame everything on us. A simple text earlier would have avoided and bad feelings. There were other issues with the rental. The apt. was large and spacious. The 2 decks were great. The pools and restaurants were awsome. If you are looking to stay here you should have a car as it is the furthest apt. from the reception. We never contacted the host again and had a very good time.
