Exploratory trip

The property and the complex it is in are both very well described and maintained. We didn’t have a car and walked to the marina (20 mins, steep hill on return) and into the old part of albufera (50 mins) each day. So a car isn’t needed as long as you are happy to walk a far bit. No public transit but plenty of Ubers. (5 euros into town). Beautiful beaches walking distance and restaurants on coastline. Local shop 15 min walk but bigger one in town. Owner very helpful allowed us to leave our luggage on the last day inside appt as taxi to collect us not til 5.30. Used her suggestion of yellow fish taxi Co and extremely impressed with them. Finding the appartment is difficult in the dark as not that well signposted on the complex, taxi driver wouldn’t leave us until we had found it. Expect to find only coffee and tea.

Quiet and peaceful area on the outer rim of Albufiera

Nice property. Very quiet and you can walk down to the beautiful Praia Sao Rafael (5-7min walk). It’s a bit far from Old Town Albufiera but Ubers are easy. Minor issue we encountered was the lockbox that holds the key. It was tricky getting the compartment to open.

A terrific experience

We decided to rent this condo for a month. It’s situated between two lovely beaches that can be accessed by foot or a short drive. The area is very quiet and the grounds are lush with floral vegetation. The pool is large and there are plenty of lounges around the pool. Our condo was exactly as shown in the photos. Even beach towels and umbrellas were available. The appliances were top notch and the view from the balcony of the ocean was spectular. The bed and pillows were super comfy. All the amenities were there to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Marco was both super patient and helpful when we couldn’t figure out how to use the washing machine and the safety box. One suggestion tho is to bring your own DVD’s and CD’s as the TV stations were mostly in Portuguese. We would highly recommend this condo and will consider returning here in future.

A beautiful holiday in Sao Raphael

This was my first time in the Algarve and I was so happy to have found this place to stay for a few weeks. It's a lovely, tastefully designed home in a peaceful Sao Raphael oasis, just minutes from beautiful beaches and trails. The place is outfitted with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. The views of the ocean and neighbourhood are wonderful. Thank you Marco, I will definitely be recommending this spot!

Lovely location!

This is a lovely location-walking distance to beautiful beaches and to the Marina. It’s a longer stroll to old town but we enjoyed the walk. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is great! Has all the necessary equipment and an excellent induction stove top, oven and charcoal grill outside. The sunrise is glorious from the living room balcony. It was a perfect spot for our family and our first visit to the Algarve. Catarina and her husband were quick to respond to any of our questions. Thanks for everything, we hope to be back!

Beautifully appointed getaway home!

Our family has stayed in quite a few vacations homes, this one is extremely clean and well thought out in the construction, furnishings and little things to make you comfortable. The owners gave us some great local restaurant recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Albufeira. The directions were clear and easy to follow, the complex was quiet and in a great location. We would love to come back for another stay.

Perfect for families

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) enjoyed a wondeful stay at these apartments in Sao Raphael. The apartment was clean and comfortable with fantastic sea views. The area was quiet, pretty and within easy reach of two picturesque beaches. Albefeira marina and the old town were only a short taxi ride away or 20 - 30 minutes walk. The pool at the apartment was a great size with plenty of sunbeds, shade and a cafe area which was good for lunches and drinks. I would highly recommend this property.

Great location, apartment is so clean and comfortable. Beautiful view and a great barbecue. Lots of equipment in the apartment, Lots of storage, just a home from home. We will be back for our third stay as soon as we can!!

We spent a wonderful 4 weeks at this Sao Rafael condo. The condo itself was roomy and well equipped with a large kitchen, double sinks, induction stove top and a full sized fridge with large freezer section, etc. The beds were very comfortable with linen changed once a week. Lots of cloths storage space. Nice modern bathroom. The condo also features lovely Portuguese decor. Lots of useful items to help you enjoy your holiday, like beach chairs, water toys, etc. The place was very clean, which was appreciated by my wife. The welcome basket was a nice touch. The kitchen also boasted lots of dishes, pots, etc. There were even items like spices, olive oil and condiments so you didn't have to buy them. The condo was very quiet. The complex featured extremely nice gardens with abundant flowers. It was a joy to just walk around the development. The view from the front bedroom and living room was spectacular looking over the ocean. You do need a car here as the nearest grocery store is too far to walk, although only a five or six minute drive. The very picturesque Sao Rafael beach is only a five minute walk away. Overall, I would rate the place as excellent. Five stars.

Nice place but there are some drawbacks

The location of the Condo could not have been better. Sao Raphaël is a near perfect location for two adults. A small family with two children will enjoy the area. Now about the condo! The condo is starting to show sign of neglect as well as the community exterior pool. The furniture is ok. The TV had only local Portuguese chanels no international chanels. The internet had good reception. The appliances were recent and functional. The dishes were in good supply. The floors need to be redone as well as the wall painting. We had to deal with small ants rooming in the bathroom. The shower glass wall was leaking at the bottom because the seal or chalking was worn out. We did not have problem to find the supermarkets. Wine is extremely cheap. Parking was not a problem. Would we rent again? The answer is yes under certain conditions of maintenance to be done. It would be nice to have a booklet in English giving us advices where are the supermarkets, restaurants and have functional TV with cable with English Chanel's. We rented because this condo had a 4.5/5 rating but unfortunately I disagree it is more a 3.5/5. I must had the condo is close to two beaches and the scenery is fantastic. The owners were easily reachable during the day.
