We were in town for a medical procedure. I chose this place because of a great experience in a previous stay for a conference. Check-in was great then we got to the room and it smelled like sewage, they sent maintenance who said he couldn’t smell it. We left the balcony door opened and went to the pool, my husband was turn away cause he had a beer can, when we finally got in after a pool check in process, the water in the pool was ice cold. After swimming, had to walk back soaked, wet , dripping and freezing because towel police would not let us leave the pool with their pool towels. Got into the shower and the water pressure was so low that it wouldnt take the soap out of my hair until I knelt down in the tub and put my hair underneath the tub faucet. There were no guest bathrobes like the website advertised and I was afraid to ask for extra towels after the pool

Poor staff training

The fabric of the hotel was very good, then the problems came up mainly with the lack of service. First of all the Mexican restaurant the server had no idea about the dishes on the menu when asked what they were. Then in the steak restaurant, my pet hate plates were being collected from table before everyone had finished eating and the server started asking what we wanted for dessert whilst my sister was again still eating her steak. Finally after the steak meal we went to one of the bats for s few drinks as it was our last night and after two whisky’s I was refused a third. The female bartender was rude and very sarcastic and tried to give me water. I’m 66 and drank scotch all my adult life and never has it caused a problem. I felt I had to make an official complaint which I did. These three things show a lot of training is required at this resort.

Upon arrival the pictures did not to it justus. The resort is more lux than I expected in person the amenities from the pool to jacuzzi to the spa, casino, and all the dining were excellent. I stayed for 3 nights and definitely recommend it.

The resort was ok and the room was nice, however, there was limited dining areas and the casino experience wasn’t the best. Didn’t like the slot machines (compared to other casinos) and there were NO beverages allowed on the casino floor. Very strange! Had never experienced that before. I would not return for another stay considering the cost factor of the resort and the dislikes I mentioned.

Shout out to the valet staff

The valet staff was exceptionally helpful from the moment we drove up to the time we checked out. Super helpful with our luggage and accommodations. Our stay was good. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Beds were comfy. One complaint was the A/C was not working properly and our room was really humid.
