Born as a restaurant in the 1980s, Excelentíssimo was once a landmark dining spot in Torrão. Its spacious rooms, a kitchen built to serve many, and thick walls that keep the house cool in summer are a direct legacy of that past. Today, we welcome guests instead of diners, in a 400 m² home that comfortably accommodates up to 11 people.
The large living rooms with fireplaces invite you to relax. The kitchen is ready for big dinners. The four bedrooms (two en suite) offer the quiet of the Alentejo and a restful atmosphere. Outside, two covered terraces overlook the Vale do Gaio dam, and the private garden (over 2,000 m²) is perfect for sunrise and sunset.
This village house feels like a country estate, combining the privacy and authenticity of the countryside with the convenience of being close to the village (supermarket and other services right at your doorstep).
Just 5 minutes away, the dam offers swimming, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching. In 40 minutes, you can reach Comporta, Carvalhal, and Melides for fantastic beach days. And for those who love to drive, the National Road 2 runs through the village.
We honor our history with all modern comforts: high-speed Wi-Fi (suitable for remote work), air conditioning in common areas, TV, washer and dryer.
Families with children are very welcome. We provide cribs, high chairs, books, and toys to make everyone feel at home. Events or parties are not allowed, ensuring everyone’s peace and quiet.
