Family trip

We really enjoyed our stay in Portugal, the area was beautiful and we enjoyed using the apartment as our base while we explored the coast.

Needs updating but spacious and clean

Nice apartment with balconies and a fantastic swimming pool. In need of new sofas and a king size mattress to match the size of the bed. A new coat of paint would not go a miss.

Great View but Updates Needed

This apartment is on the third floor with a fabulous view of the bay in Sao Martinho do Porto. During our entire stay wireless internet was not available which cost us $100 to do International Roaming. There is a room on the top floor which I assume is the Games Room that was prominently featured in photos but we were not given a key to access it. The property is in need of updating. The couch in the Lounge has crumbling leather that gets all over the floor and on your clothes. Its cushions are worn out too. The main bathroom has a vanity with rotting wood and rusty towel rods. The bath tub is pulling away from the wall. With a little TLC, this could be a nice property. The owner provided us with great suggestions for visiting nearby historic sites. We enjoyed Obidos, Batalha and Alcobaça. We also enjoyed Fátima and a Natural Park near it with dinosaur footprints.

Nice, large and comfortable apartment. Further from the beach than appears but a very short drive or a bit of a walk away. Beautiful town and stunning beach!

Great view

Everything was great. Except one of the toilets did not flush properly, my husband though solved the problem. We had a bottle of wine waiting for us, that was nice, it would be great if there was a little basic spices, like salt and pepper. Overall I recommend this apartment

Pre-Season Experience

The month of May 2022 was our stay at the apartment, and we used it as a "headquarter" to explore more of Portugal. Perfect weather (1 day rain for 3-4 hours) made us enjoy many trips up and down the Silver Coast and also East of Sao Martinho do Porto. Having such a great place as home base for all the excursions was priceless. Coming home and relax after, with a glass of Sangria, and then enjoy the countless Restaurants with their excellent food, it was vacation as you would wish for every time. Thanks Philip for letting us stay in your home. HP

Uncomfortable and poorly maintained

The apartment is a nice size. However it hasn't been maintained. The jacuzzi doesn't work and the sink in the main bathroom leaks to the point of pooling on the floor. There are a number of radiators that you can't turn on or off because the valves are broken. All of the sofas either have broken springs or frames and the dining room chairs are worn-out. We left 3 days early very disappointed

Beach getaway

We really enjoyed Sao Martinho do Porto. The temps were perfect for it being off season. The town was quaint with some great restaurants.

Lovely family holiday in this well appointed property

Property is fantastic, it's nice and spacious and with everything you need to live home away from home. TV with some English channels, reasonable Wi-Fi although I found that the 4G signal was more than adequate and as my plan includes unlimited data I used that to keep bandwidth for the children to use. Located in a nice spot, just a few minutes walk from everything. The beach is fantastic, and climbing the large sand dune a real challenge for all of us except my youngest son who ran up and down it a few times. We were a touch unlucky with the weather, and during our 2 week stay approximately 50% of the time it was hazy or cool and with occasional bouts of drizzle. In this regard though I think we just had very bad luck. Nazare is recommended and much more tourist like vs that os Sao Martinho, when the kids need a little something else, there are numerous beach rides and playparks at Nazare which ours (8 and 10 years old), enjoyed. We didn't have a car, and found getting around no problem. The owner put us in touch with a local taxi firm and we used them during our stay as well as for airport transfers. Would use again should we return in the future. Owner of property is excellent. And made the whole rental process easy. There was also lots of information provided which was useful. Top tip : we missed the fact you need to call the property agents upon landing, so we had to wait after being dropped off. Entirely our fault. Thanks again Philip, it's been a pleasure.

Wonderful stay on the Silver Coast

Property was very nice and convenient to both beach and town. Several dining options on beautiful protected bay. Perfect location to explore Lisbon, Sintra, Óbidos and all central Portugal has to see.

Quality accommodation in a great location

A modern, clean, comfortable and well-equipped 3-bedroom apartment. Close to the town centre, beach and railway station. Travelling as a couple who like to self-cater (as well as eat out) we found the property ideal for our requirements. It is obviously well cared for by the owners and the local management team. Sao Martinho do Porto is a smart seaside town with a good beach and plenty of good quality (and reasonably priced) restaurants, bars and shops. The local rail service and easy access to the motorway network make it a good base for exploring the Silver Coast region. We would definitely return.

Great apartment in super location

We enjoyed a couple of months in this apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. Sunny balconies front and rear, meant sunshine morning and afternoon, with a pool table when the sun was occasionally hiding (it was winter after all). Easy access to the bay and walks around the headlands. Easy walk (20mins) to supermarket. Trains and buses close at hand for local trips to attractive nearby towns/villages. Good range of fitness equipment on prom too. If you are there during Christmas and New Years the fireworks are great. Excellent service from Phil throughout. Highly recommended.

Lovely apartment and beautiful surrounding

The apartment is in a purpose built apartment blocks. It took us a little while to find the agent as block 14 isn't clearly marked, but we got there in the end. The property is airy, lovely decorated, all furnishing and equipment are fairly new. The rear balcony overlooks the communal swimming pool which is sun drenched during the day and lit during the nights, during the day, the swimming pool is 'life-guarded' so 100% safe for the little ones. The front balcony overlook the bay which is beautiful especially at sun set. The only negative I will say is the train line which run parallel with the building, however, the trains are hourly and not very noisy at all. Sao Martinho Do Porto is a quiet little town, good restaurants, supermarket, and the indoor veg and fish market which just about cover everything you will need. Underground parking is a plus which keeps the car nice and cool, however street parking is available, and it seems safe. Recommend this apartment to family.

Silver Coast adventure

Sao Martinho is a has a stunning bay with golden sands, friendly locals and excellent restaurants. It is in a good position on the coast for visiting other amazing places of great history and architecture, great castles. The apartment we had was very spacious and well appointed with a super view to the mouth of the bay. It is certainly a place we will visit again as there is so much to see and do locally and around the area.

Apartamento con vistas excelentes y acogedor.

Apartamento situado en pocos metros de la playa (desde la terraza se ve la playa), tiene piscina comunitaria con hamacas y sombrillas gratis. Tiene un amplio aparcamiento. Disfrutamos de la cocina con terraza bien equipada, un sofá cama y una habitación con una litera y una cama nido. Las habitaciones son amplias. Aunque puedes disfrutar del paseo marítimo que se encuentra muy cerca. En resumen, unas vacaciones a gusto y con todo lo que buscábamos para mí, mi marido y mis tres hijos. Gracias a Teresa y a Philip por su atención. Y gracias también por la botella de vino ( obsequio de la casa). Un abrazo.

Lage top, möbel dürften mal gewechselt werden

Sao Martinho do Port ist wunderschön und toll! Die lage der wohnung liegt genau am bahnhof, diesen hört man jedoch nicht wenn die fenster zu sind. Die möbel in der wohnung dürften jetzt mal gewechselt werden. Das gestell vom bett ist klapprig und das sofa „durchgenuddelt“ Scheint so als ob in der Wohnung Schimmel war und behandelt wurde, das hat spuren hinterlassen. Darf also auch mal übergestrichen werden. Es stand drinne das Klopapier, müllsäcke etc zur verfügung stehen, dies war nicht der Fall. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Propriétaire très peut courtois pour

Tout d'abord un grand merci à Teresa qui grasse a elle à été à notre écoute quand au propriétaire il faut surtout rien lui demander a peine arrivé l'ascenseur est tombé en panne mon épouse étant handicapé pour les escaliers j'ai envoyé SMS au propriétaire 4 jours après je n'ai toujours pas reçu de réponse j'ai envoyé SMS à Teresa qui à réagi de suite je trouve cela très incorrect en temps que propriétaire pour ces clients Teresa parle Un peu le français ça été super mais je ne reviendrai pas chez lui
