East Lodge, is a tiny romantic castle: modern, maximalist, quirky and cosy. Even your most ardent youngster will put down their mobile to be transported to the heart of tranquility. This is surely England's quietest and least discovered corner.
The lodge sits in the grounds of Chillingham Castle, which you will see in the photos. Between May and September, the castle is a fun palce to visit: historic , eccentric, romantic. Behind us are the majestic Cheviot hills: snow capped in winter, heather purple for summer. Ahead of us, the sandy coastline of our country's most wonderful, wide, yellow sand beaches. As great for surfing as for buckets and spades. At night you'll be blanketed under layers and layers of stars. Let my Nirvana be yours.
