Very modern and clean hotel right opposite the castle. Nice and quiet rooms, very comfortable beds. Staff were attentive, but a little busy at times. Good food in restaurant but a little pricey.

The Bailiffgate Hotel is an excellent hotel with wonderful and attentive staff. A magic combination. It is situated next to Alnwick Castle and a short walk into Alnwick town.

Impressive

The staff were very attentive, especially Sam. On the downside, we suspect ongoing maintenance will be required for very minor things like the toilet roll holders and in our room the wardrobe door didn’t fully shut, so the light shone through; and I wasn’t overly impressed by the breakfast. In spite of those extremely minor issues we would love to stay again. It’s a lovely and impressive hotel in an amazing location - and the focaccia is to die for!
