Old Stable House, Chatton

Old Stable House is a double fronted, linked detached, dog friendly 2 bedroomed stone cottage in the Northumberland village of Chatton. Formally stables, it retains some of its beautiful features which capture the history of this charming cottage. Totally renovated for 2024.

We sleep 4 - 2 bedrooms; 1 Kingsize and 2 Singles or 1 Kingsize and 1 Superking on booking request. We welcome 2 dogs with no charge sometimes 3 on request.
Externally we have two private parking spaces to the front of the cottage. To the rear of the cottage there is (secure for dogs) a walled garden with raised beds, lawn and a relaxing covered seating area.

Chatton is nestled within some of the most dramatic scenery in Northumberland and situated at the foot of The Cheviot Hills. The village offers a fabulous local public house & restaurant, a delighting post office and village shop ; all on the doorstep. Located a few miles from the town of Wooler, a market town, with a busy street offering public houses, restaurants and a wide range of shops. Chatton is ideally located for access North into Scotland or continuing South towards Alnwick ; Holy Island, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Northumberland beaches are in easy access



Cottage Description:

The living room area is tastefully decorated with a log burner for the colder evenings ; coffee table, side tables, table lamps, Smart TV, sound bar with Netflix. The seating area comprises of a large L shaped leather sofa.

Solid wood floor throughout lounge and hallway entrance. Hallway has coat hooks and area for shoes.

The traditional style kitchen is well equipped with all you would need, including dishwasher, washer dryer, induction hob, oven, designer hood, fridge freezer and quartz worktops.

There is a dining table and chairs for four and a highchair available.

Bedroom 1 has a Kingsize bed with a pocket sprung mattress, bedside cabinets, double wardrobe., chest of drawers, dressing table and chair with mirror. This luxury room has a double ended bath.

Bedroom 2 has 2 x Singles beds or on booking request can be made into a Super Kingsize, double wardrobe and dressing table with mirror and chair.

Main Bathroom: Large walk in shower with dual overhead mixer shower, toilet and basin, heated towel rail and Large LED mirror.
