The cottage is on a small working farm and offers guests the opportunity of sampling life in typical, rural Lakeland. Grasmere village is a short stroll away and offers a good selection of interesting tea shops and galleries as well as a co-op store and an excellent bakery for everyday provisions.

Built in the 19th Century, the cottage is delightfully presented with original flagged floors, oak beams and original gas lights, now converted to electric and these features have been combined with pretty decor and hand picked accessories, depicting the famous writers this fantastic location inspired. The property features a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, newly fitted in 2023.
