This is a hostel with some rooms with private bathroom. Steps are very steep so not great for less able travellers. The shower is also the toilet - like in a cruise ship you’ll shower inside your little bathroom sink and toilet is what I mean. Fan worked fine. Windows kept noise out. All good. Location is phenomenal - 5 min walk to central station. Plus price is great . They didn’t email me the WiFi code which annoyed me but responded to the email quickly, and the online check in and sharing of the reception door and bedroom door PIN code was fine.

Huge room very sunny great location i would ask for tv to be checked batteries for safe and no hot water 2pm 2nd day new batteries 4 safe then new batteries for tv no volume one pool station tv dont work lots of up and down stairs i needed the exercise lol it is the biggest room and bed in all of Amsterdam lol

Be prepared for a long climb up very steep stairs. It’s just a feature of Amsterdam buildings. The room was nice enough for the price, and the shared washroom and shower were clean. The staff was nice, and responsive as far as answering questions and responding to emails promptly, but the trash can in my room was broken and the toilet paper and soap in the washroom ran out and were not replaced for at least a day and a half. People were using paper towels, which also ran out.

Stay with caution

Not a big fan. I guess you should know before you go and do your research. This is one step above a hostel. Shared shower, shared toilet, no AC and No elevator. If you book through hotels.com you will have to go across the street and plead with the partner hotel to help you out which they very nicely will try, but complain that you should have gotten the email. You will then get the email and be forced to fill in all of your information, pay through another link for city tax, then finally you might get a door code for the hotel across the street. You go in and lug your bags up 6 flights/3 floors of vertical steps. With your luggage this is on par with rock climbing. Once you get up there you will find a room white washed with paint and no AC in the summer. A shared shower and toilet that is often full of a drunk guy. If you are traveling on a budget (Ha! Amsterdam Budget) it might be up your alley, but the next 2 weeks of back and neck pain from the experience are not.

Definitely stay again

The hotel is very central and has shop, restaurants, snack, cafes and coffee shops super close by. It’s a short walk to the station and the ferry to north Amsterdam. It’s on a busy road but we didn’t find the noise too bad and it was nice to people watch in the evening. The room was spacious enough for us (superior room) and the shower in the en-suite was really good and didn’t flood the bathroom and bedroom like I suspected it would! The bed was bigger than our king size at home and was very comfortable. The stairs were a bit tricky to navigate at first (especially when carrying a case) but we soon got used to it and found it a quirk of the building. We’d definitely stay here again

Good time. Great location in the centre but with this comes noise at night ( as expected and hotel can’t do anything to better this) Get exactly what you pay for. Perfect for travellers. Check in and check out both very easy. Very nice that you can check out digitally in advance, one less thing to worry about

Small place with crazy stairs, but it was clean and absolutely esthetic Amsterdam. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the ritz Carlton, but man is the location amazing! Perfect location and was only a 5-7 minute walk from Amsterdam central. The neighborhood is amazing and how could you ever be mad in the most beautiful place on earth? The hotel was close to all the restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping that Amsterdam offers. It’s an amazing place and madeesh, the hotel operator (owner?) was super laid back, helpful and incredibly friendly!

Kind,friendly and helpful staff. But the hotel and room were atrocious, tv didn't work most of the time,the windows when closed didn't lower the volume from outside, no on suite, the room was tiny for a double and numerous suspect stains on the curtains !
