In the pictures it looks so much better than what it is. The room was very dusty, the sink in the bathroom was clogged, someone tried to enter my room at 4am, and the walls are paper thin! the room next to me had the tv on until 3am so loud!! I would book elsewhere

My son and I stayed the night. The room was perfect for us, clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean for us. The staff helped us carry our bags down stairs and it was in the perfect spot in relation to the train station, city center, and walking around. I will definitely stay here again next time in Amsterdam.

Great location (hard to find - over a liquor store on very busy street), comfortable room, not meant for those with mobility issues as too may stairs and no elevator, room had heating issues where controls seemed not to work, bathroom very small where shower water goes all over place, rooms not well soundproofed but hotel staff accommodating. Hotel suited to younger travellers.

The staff was friendly but unfortunately, in one of the two rooms that I booked, my son found a bed bug. I shared this with their management team and they said they would address the situation. Clearly not desirable.

The property is close to the Central station. The hotel has very steep steps and the rooms are small. This hotel is okay if you’re staying for a short stay & not looking for luxury. The room does not have much space for storage or hanging your clothes The reception staff were very helpful, but think twice if you have any mobility issues for this accommodation.

Good location with challenging access

Ciao Papa is a small hotel that occupies upper floors of a building a short walk from the central train station of Amsterdam. The area is pleasant, has many dining options, and is near other sites like the Dam Square area. The hotel has older but well-maintained rooms with up-to-date bathrooms. It is well air conditioned. The staff is always available and is helpful. Our main issue as older travelers was the steep, narrow, and even curved stairs one must negotiate to get to the office and then to a room. If you are nimble and your luggage is not bulky, you’ll be fine.
