Small room

Room was smaller than expected. Guess I should read the description better. That being said it was very comfortable and clean.

No window and room opens literally into a big closet, with about 2 feet of walk way. Extremely unsafe from a fire exit perspective by having one exit, which is the door. Should have posted more pictures to show the true room size. We wasted our money and had to go to another hotel and pay extra. They did not refund, do yourself a favor and don't book here.

A great hotel for a great price. It is so quick to walk or cycle (with the free 2 minute ferry) to get back in to the city. The rooms are perfect for a quick break, and the hotel itself is very cool.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Not far from bus station and train station. Grocery and convenience stores are in walking distance. Only complaint is that the room I stayed in was very dusty and could have used a quick cleaning before I checked in. Otherwise everything was great!

Not great for business travel.

Whilst I get the self-serve, minimalist pod concept and it's done well by the likes of citizenM, Poppies just comes across as scrimping - when you've spent so much money to build a hotel, not adding some small things that make a big difference to business travellers really does seem like penny pinching. The rooms are extremely small, literally just a bed. No iron in room and only 2 in the hotel meaning often not available. Nowhere to hang your clothes - IMO if you're not providing somewhere to hang clothes then you need to have plenty of irons available. No hair dryers in room. Also - you should be aware the rooms have no windows.

Comfy and clean saving your Euros

Great stay in a very comfortable quiet location, the hotel its self was very clean, with a great vibe. I was welcomed upon arrival by an extremely helpful young lady the keyless entry system is a fantastic idea and worked like a dream. The room was clean compact and very comfortable nice bathroom and very quiet bed was awesome! Check out was just as easy! A little of the beaten track however worth the ferry crossing and the 15 mins walk there’s supermarkets, eateries Amsterdam speciality shops and such friendly people. The hotel also has food coffee( which is great) very cheap accommodation also based on Amsterdam prices, especially for a comfy double!

Convenient, cozy & cost- efficient

Clean, well appointed room. The room is small but efficient, we had two large suitcases and had to play some Tetris in our room to accommodate but the space is well utilized. The cafe is so convenient and has delicious lattes and a decent breakfast. The bathroom is spacious and super clean- would stay here again for the cafe and convenience alone.
