We stayed at Alyeska Resort for my husband’s birthday, and overall it was an amazing experience, especially the hydrotherapy spa. If you’re considering going, do it. We booked a Signature King with a Mountain View and arrived before noon to check in. The front desk wasn’t able to check us in early and recommended we go ahead and enjoy the hydrotherapy circuit since we already had reservations for the day. The spa is open from 10 AM to 9 PM, and honestly, it’s the highlight of the resort. The hot/cold therapy experience, relaxation areas, and scenery made it feel like a true getaway. We could have stayed there all day (and almost did). When we returned to check in, we hit a small snag, the room we prepaid through Expedia (Mountain View) wasn’t showing correctly in their system. Initially, we were offered a room without the view we paid for, which was frustrating, especially since this was meant to be a celebration. After speaking with the manager, who was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely helpful, we were upgraded to a high floor with the correct room type and a beautiful mountain view. That gesture absolutely made the stay feel special, and I appreciated the empathy and willingness to resolve the issue. Food-wise, we tried a few of the restaurants onsite and everything was consistently delicious. Service around the resort, from spa staff to restaurant servers, was warm and welcoming.

The resort was absolutely beautiful. They do a great job of keeping it clean. I stayed in the off-season, so the vibe was really chill. I believe it had things for people of all ages and great for families. The tram was down but that's due to the season (so that couldn't be helped). The pool and fitness center were open and were great. The nordic spa was open as well, and although I didn't get a chance to use it, I did see a lot of people utilize it (and it seemed amazing). I think I would've given it a 5/5 if the customer service was better. The people I encountered working in the restaurants were great- friendly and helpful. But some of the people working at the front desk were not great. The said they would call me when my room was ready, they forgot. After checking in, one of the guys at the front gave off judgmental glares and had this attitude of giving the bare minimum to want to help or answer any questions I (or others) may have had. My last gripe is with the appearance of their staff. Some of them looked like they didn't want to be there or didn't care about how they represented the hotel. If you are going to be labeled as a "luxury hotel", I believe your personnel should reflect that in how they present themselves and how they interact with customers. Overall, I think they price reflected the quality of the hotel. I would stay here again.

I was charged for pizza that someone else ordered with my room number. My room service order took twice as long because they sent it to the wrong room. Also, there was a group of kids the entire weekend, running up and down the hallways loud. It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
