The location was good and easy to get to. The train whistles did go several times a night, but it really did not bother us. We knew that would happen being so close to the train station. The breakfast was fair.

Good staff, but that's all

The staff was great but the room, not so much. toilet was unflushed, 1 tacky crooked vinyl chair, no in room coffee, phone didn't work to call the desk, A/C unit rattled all night as did the fridge. TV remote was sticky when I first touched it.....gross!! Breakfast was less than okJ. Overall just not a comfy/pleasant situation at all.

This place is a complete dump, dirty and in need of serious repair everywhere you look. It was extremely overpriced and There are no amenities , no hair dryer, no coffee maker, Plastic Lawn chair for furniture. There are pubic hairs in the bathroom. Towels did not seem clean. Staff did not seem friendly. Stay away!!! The positive reviews had to be made by the hotel itself, as the entire place was horrible. Located in an unsafe part of town surrounded by homeless. By far the worst place I’ve ever stayed!
Doors were beat up.
Pubic hair in shower.
Dilapidated air conditioner.

Not worth the price

Highly over priced! Beds were very uncomfortable and not the cleanest of rooms. Shuttle and driver were very nice, highlight of stay. Some rooms in our party didnt have hair dryers.

We left a day early, while checking in, a person was on hotel grounds going through the garbage and asking us for money as we unloaded our luggage. There was a double murder one mile away the night we stayed there.

Relatively convenient to downtown anchorage. But the shuttle service took a long time to come to the airport to pick us up. We stayed for two nights but no house keeping was done after the first night of stay, had to go to the front desk asking for clean towels.

We arrived on the late train and didn’t know about free shuttle to hotel so we paid for Uber. When we arrived a large group was being checked in and because of computer problems it took over an hour to get into our room. Totally unacceptable. The room was poorly cleaned- I saw crap on the rug that should have been vacuumed, no hand towels, only bath towels and the window your 1st floor room was left open. If I hadn’t noticed it, someone could have entered our room in the night. Breakfast was as basic as could be.

Hotel overall was average. The beds were comfortable and clean but room had a few things like the vent that needed to be fixed that was broken. I will say though the staff was wonderful though, so nice especially an evening woman staff member with pink hair. Unfortunately I am terrible at remembering names but she was so nice.

Disappointed

The lobby was kept very clean and inviting. Our room smelled mildew-y, the vent fan in the bathroom did not work. My husband looked at the filter on the air conditioning unit and it had not been cleaned/changed in a long while. Breakfast had no fresh fruit (maybe it’s too expensive in Alaska) and the “eggs” weren’t good at all. The pancake machine was great!

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only troublesome thing that my wife and I had during our entire stay at the Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown/Ship Creek, almost every day, we had to have our room key rebooted.
