This is great for a one night stay where you need a bed and a shower and as long as those are your expectations then it’s fine. Overpriced but fine. Located a busy one way street, you hear the traffic all night long. It’s old and dated, the refresh seems to have been done in the public areas, the rooms are worn and it shows. The continental breakfast is very small, but appreciated, however it’s not open until 7:00. Do yourself a favor and walk over to the Kaladi Brothers in the ConocoPhillips atrium for coffee and then walk to Fire Island for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff was good, but we did not receive any service of room during our stay. We had to ask for extra towels as one room had 4 people and only three towels given. They did come quick after calling and requesting though. There was no recycling bins. Parking fee was excessive ($40 night) so we used street parking when we could. Location isn’t great as far as safety. Area has local security patrolling, but still felt unsafe at times.

The door to the restroom was 24” wide. My mobility device is 26” wide. They assured me the room was fine for my device. The door to the room was fine, but not the bathroom. Anyone needing more than 24” to get through a doorway can not stay at this hotel unless you reserve a handicap room

I was worried about this property with some of the reviews, but found it to be more than adequate. The room was clean and spacious; but dated. The breakfast was good and plentiful, but mostly all carbs. They have a single cup coffee maker in room. The area around the hotel is very walkable with plenty of dining options.

Staff was not overly helpful…for example they offered $40 parking in front of hotel, but did not offer that they could not guarantee a parking spot…I only discovered that by asking the question… I would have paid $40 to NOT get a spot and then paid again at an adjacent offsite lot. I opted to pay less at the adjacent lot. Room was ok, dated…needs updating. Would look for an alternative place if I stayed in anchorage again. Would recommend the Marriott as an alternative…stayed there the night before and it was much nicer.
