The gal checking us in wasn't very knowledgeable of the area, but she had just moved there herself. Parking wasn't very good....we parked in the back and there were several containers in the way....and it was very far from our room. Felt like every time we parked , we had to take a hike to get to our room down 3 corridors.
Bad experience! Many issues and the worst was no hot water on the 2nd day. Triedto get an answer from the front desk. The person was unresponsive and some what rude. When asked for the manager, she kept saying in the meeting.
Will Never stay there!!
The hotel is old and dingy. Bathrooms were not cleaned, dirty with hair . Arm chairs had stains. No hot water.. Overall, not worth the price paid for the stay whatsoever!
The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast bar was too small for the amount of guests staying. The area around the hotel is questionable. No frills.
It was alright. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Room was clean enough, staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. Not a place I’d rave about, but I’d consider staying again if the price was right.
Top latch missing on door. Looked like it had been torn off.Other room doors looked like someone had broken in with a pry bar. We asked for a different room, they told us they would let us stay in a nice room, but there appeared to be black mold on bathroom ceiling And the toilet paper roller was missing. Room didn't seem clean. The sheets seemed dirty, looked like an imprint of someone, and hair in the sheets. We asked for clean sheets, they told us someone could clean the room tomorrow. We had blankets with us and used them to sleep on the whole time. I gave this a low score because of health and safety concerns. The outside of the hotel looked nice and had a nice seafood restaurant nearby. The rooms themselves seemed old, dark, and creepy, but had plenty of warm, running water.
Our first room we got there were people already in. After the staff had a scramble to get us another room another person walked into our room and said “there’s f*cking people in this room too.”
Hotel staff has a lack of organization, bums outside the building, and okay cleanliness. Will not stay here again.
Could not get anyone to answer the phone for shuttle service from airport. Property needs update - lots of rust and old dirt. Bathroom had a musty smell. Toaster broken at breakfast service. No bottled water on property.
When we checked in, the staff acted like we were a burden. We were the only ones at the desk so there was no line. Easy check in, just bad customer service with the 2 females. Got into the room and found that three of the soap/shampoo containers were empty, there was leftover dirty wash clothes hanging from the shower rod and the floor by the air conditioner was wet. Our stay was for 5 days! We got things situated and headed to the soak in the spa... which was nonexistent!! One of the reasons that we picked this hotel was that it had a spa. I guess they recently removed it as the signs on the wall were still there. The pool room was hot and muggy so we thought that the pool water would be warm, but it was freezing! Very disappointed!! The homeless in the area were ridiculous. You had to drive through a wall of them to enter the parking lot.

We stayed here twice on our Alaska trip and definitely the second room was much better! The first night we stayed in the basement floor and the room was definitely low grade. The shower was stopped up and the water would not drain and it was dirty! The second room was so much better and was very comfortable.

Property sent me an email with check in info. Telephone # for complimentary shuttle was wrong. Had to get a cab and pay $20 for ride. Desk clerk could of cared less. Saw shuttle driver and he told me he has told them for two weeks to correct the contact #. First room given 314 had not been cleaned. Second room 360 smelled like an ashtray.

I like the location, and the breakfast was good, except for the juice machine that was out of order for 2 days or the lady that walked behind you and every time you reached for something suddenly she was cleaning that area or had to move the item. . What I did not care for was the lack of upkeep and the lack of knowledge the staff had. The pool was very cold, the restroom next to the pool was run down, dripped water, and smelled of mold. The restroom closest to the dinning area was out of order the entire 2 days we were there. Our key card would not work on the outside doors even though the front desk staff tried reprogramming it twice. As far as the staff every time we had a question or issue we were told “uh, sorry she is new or sorry I don’t know I’m new, or just I have no idea how to do that.” I realize that we are all new at our jobs at some point but for multiple staff to give us the same answers there needs to be some accountability with whom is doing the training. This place is very busy and very pricey yet not ran or kept up like a 4 star property. I would not recommend it or stay here again.
