Its a very lovely hotel, full of character, antique furniture, greenery and flowers, and very nice staff. There is a nice fountain. We loved the character and vibe of the place. The big drawback for us was the airport transport. I had mistakenly assumed that they had their own driver. Instead we paid $50 ($25 each) for a shuttle system that spent 45 minutes driving around from hotel to hotel picking other people up, bouncing and jostling around the bumpy Antigua roads. We should have just ordered an uber, which would have cost the same, and gone straight to the airport much more quickly. As it was we barely got there in time to make our flight- we got there two hours after we had been picked up. Given that an uber for the two of us would have cost the same as that shuttle, which had 8 or so people in it, they are obviously just making a lot of money with that system, at the expense of guests. So warning- don't take their shuttle.

The staff treated me terribly. They had a poor attitude and had no respect for their guest. I will never return, and will tell others to avoid the hotel. I was a guest there for many years, but I will never return.

Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Antigua, close to the Arch, Parque Central and just around the corner from Starbucks. Hotel is clean, spacious and the staff is wonderful. This is our hotel in Antigua during our frequent visits to Antigua.

The hotel is very well located. It is pretty and charming. Staff is lovely. I am a little picky about breakfast. It was a small buffet. I wish someone had offered to make me made to order eggs. But I would stay there again. Wifi was amazing. The terrace has beautiful views. I really enjoyed my stay.

The breakfast was nice, simple. Some of the staff, especially at night can be a bit inconvenienced if asked for services or items after 8pm. I would ask for extras or any questions at check in like quiet hours.They offer 24 hour front desk service.

Expedia states this hotel has a spa and a bar, it has neither. The exterior is beautiful and the hotel is in a great location. We had room 104 and it had a weird musty smell. All in all was ok for what we paid. I would stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel’s courtyards are beautiful and the early check-in was convenient, but the rooms are a major disappointment. All rooms feel small, stuffy, and poorly maintained, with the ground floor being the worst. There’s no air conditioning, only fans, and bathrooms suffer from mold, mildew, and cracked tiles. For over $100 a night, this is far below expectations. Not recommended, especially in warm weather or for guests with allergies.
