We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-CÎle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc. Breakfast cost extra but we ordered every day. Simple, delicious food that filled up my family of five. Françoise et Pascal Ugolini were wonderful hosts, making us feel comfortable while running a tight ship. They keep a close eye on things out of consideration for all guests. We would highly recommend if you are seeking lodging in this area!

Lovely renovated old hotel

Pascal and his wife Francoise could not have been better hosts. The building and property are charming and our room was spacious and nicely furnished. Internet connection was fast. Francoise is an outstanding cook and we really enjoyed our meals at the hotel. All in all, we would recommend the place to anyone.

Great restaurant

Very nice Chambre d'Hote. Comfortable bed. Fabulous food in the restaurant - home cooked by Francoise & great wine - chosen by Pascal. Would recommend for a night or two.

Nice stay considering.....

Used as an airport hotel for one night. Very average hotel but room was clean and beds comfortable. Bit of a souless place and nothing much around about. Not partcularly cheap

Brilliant small hotel with pool and good food

This is a brilliant small hotel close to Perigeaux, with enclosed private parking, a swimming pool and very attentive pleasant owners. Breakfast and dinner were superb, the rooms spacious and well appointed, and ideally situated for a comfortable and enjoyable stop-over on the way home to the UK from the South. Highly recommended.

This Is a wonderful hotel. You can't do better.

This is a renovated 15th century farm with all the modern amenities, a beautiful site adjacent to the L'Isle River. When the word "charm" is used to describe reworked old French buildings, this is what they had in mind. The hotel is about 6kms from Perigeaux but it feels like a villa out in the country. The food is very good, the owners gracious and accommodating. Of the two dozen or so hotels we stayed in during our recent nearly month-long trip to Southern France, this was our favorite. You'll love it, especially at the price.

Le Mas des Bories ved Perigueux er det meget charmerende sted i gammel stil med stor have og pool. Ideelt hvis man Þnsker at bo pÄ landet i fredelige omgivelser. Vi havde en juniorsuite med stor balkon fint mÞbleret. VÊrten er meget hjÊlpsom og morgenmaden fin. Et godt sted for nogle dages ophold.

Rummet och hotellet var trevligt och frÀscht. Det som var dÄligt var att poolen var stÀngd och vi inte fick Àta frukost ute pÄ altan kl 9:00 fastÀn det var varmt och strÄlande solsken. Personalen var inte kundorienterad och flexibel!
