Little House in the Woods
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life in this guest retreat on our homestead with chickens and goats. This backhouse is located behind the main house with private access via gravel driveway and brick walkway leading directly to your front-door. Our guesthouse includes a bedroom with queen sized bed, full kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and living area with queen sized pull-out couch. You'll have your own patio and fire pit, surrounded by five acres of natural areas. You'll be able to explore our property and enjoy deep, solid sleep that you just can't get in the bright city lights. PLEASE NOTE: This is a country setting. As such, there may be more outdoor bugs (ants, wasps, flies) than are typically experienced in the city. Country life is quiet, please be mindful of our animal neighbors. We provide fresh linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, sponges, dish towels, WIFI internet and fresh eggs when available. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and baking with refrigerator, freezer, oven, electric cooktop, microwave, toaster, pots and pans and small sink. A stacked washer and dryer is also available inside the utility closet, located directly across from the bathroom. In the main living area there is a ROKU TV with cast/Airplay capabilities and wifi access. We're 30 minutes to downtown Raleigh and 15 minutes from downtown Holly Springs. Both towns have lots of charm, with well curated vintage spots, restaurants, fantastic coffee shop, and more. We have five acres to explore, including a chicken coop, goat hut, and wooded areas. We have some small pathways, but the more adventurous souls will require proper attire and bug spray for hiking through the wooded areas to the slow flowing creek. We, the owners, live on the property in the main house. You will have your own patio and parking area, but there will be other people on site. Our street and parking area is gravel and very manageable for smaller vehicles with 2-wheel drive We will be around to assist you with anything you may need. However, we provide contact-free access to the property while providing you with as much privacy as you wish. The home is located on a private gravel road in a smaller community of 15 other properties. We live in a quiet neighborhood located on a gravel road. You will have your own designated parking area and driveway. Your parking area will be to the left of our garage. The one-lane driveway offers room for a 3-point turn-around if needed. A brick walkway connects the parking area to the guest suite, as shown in the pictures.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Bass Lake Park. The vacation home includes amenities such as a kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms.
