First Floor: Double bedroom (ceiling fan) with en suite shower room. Twin bedroom (ceiling fan) with en suite bathroom. Twin bedroom with en suite bathroom. Two adjacent 'casitas', each with private entrance, small kitchen and twin bedroom with en suite bathroom. Central heating throughout the house. Outside: Small cave off kitchen patio (washing machine). Large natural lake (not suitable for bathing). Barbecue. Private parking. Nearby woodland and countryside ideal for walking. Private swimming pool (12m x 6m) with steps.
This beautifully converted mill house sits within 17 acres of grounds, where shady areas of mature woodland are interspersed with grassy open spaces. The former millstream that runs across the land falls into pretty waterfalls, whilst the large natural lake that lies on a raised plain behind the house is another of the many attractive features.
Great care and thought has been put into the refurbishment to create a unique house of immense charm with a rustic atmosphere. Beamed ceilings, exposed stonework and the presence of the original water wheel in the dining room ensure that the traditional character is preserved whilst throughout, the accommodation provides comfort and convenience with well proportioned and tastefully furnished rooms.
The main house is complemented by two charming 'casitas', which lie immediately adjacent. With each having its own private entrance next to the lake, larger families or groups of friends can holiday together whilst still retaining their own independence if required.
Meals can be taken together either inside the main house or on the sunny front terrace and the ample grounds provide an ideal setting for outdoor living. The private swimming pool is bordered on all sides by pretty lawns, whilst a meander up the slopes at the back of the house leads to several shady pathways through the surrounding woodland.
The historic 'pueblo blanco' of Arcos de la Frontera with its narrow whitewashed streets is 9km from the house, whilst Ronda, Sevilla and Granada make excellent destinations for day trips.
Smaller parties paying reduced rentals will have use of the main house only. The charm of this property is its numerous characterful features such as a millstream, a lake, low walls and natural drops between the different levels of the grounds, but inevitably young children would need to be supervised.
