Charming hotel

Charming little hotel tucked away in the narrow streets of Arles. I was not expecting anyone to speak English in such a small town but they had someone who did. They originally put me in an upper room but with no elevator, I was struggling to climb the stairs. They noticed this and moved me to a ground floor room without me asking.

Home away from home.

The most wonderful part about this hotel is its lovely beating heart! The staff are so kind and accommodating, we felt like we were staying at a friend's home. Sebastian was especially warm and helpful! The breakfast is excellent and prepared right there with local ingredients. The building and rooms are charming and quaint, and typical of the smaller rooms in the villages of France. The location is to die for, right in the center of the historical district. We stayed for a week, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely, cozy and quiet. Staff are polite and friendly. Decided to add breakfast and it was nice to have an assortment of offerings instead of our daily cafe and croissant on the street. Stayed on a Monday night so many things closed but was still relaxing to stroll the streets.

Excellent location, only a few minutes from the roman arena. Beautiful bathroom in a very cute room. Nice breakfast. Best to arrange parking at the site or even better to park at a lot outside the tiny old city, and walk in. Better than negotiating the automatic traffic barriers.

Muette was a real find - we loved it! Our room was small, but perfectly clean and comfortable, and shower room, also small, but modern and well appointed. Staff are their strongest feature though. Everyone was helpful from start to finish of our stay.

The whole town of Arles had a power outage for most of one day and night. The staff were very good about trying to make people comfortable and provided small lanterns, charging for phones, and stayed up through the night to ensure people had their needs

Delightful Stay in Arles

We had a great stay at the Hotel de la Muette in Arles. Staff members were unfailingly polite and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a nice variety of tasty items. The hotel is conveniently located near the Arena and Place du Forum, and it's walkable (though not necessarily close) to the train station. This hotel would not be a good choice for guests with mobility issues, as there's no elevator, and rooms are reached via a spiraling staircase. (Hotel personnel offered assistance carrying our bags up the steps, but we were able to manage on our own.) As long as you can manage the stairs, this hotel is a gem. I would definitely stay there again.

Awful - avoid at all costs!

Awful! We checked out early after one night due to the huge mould problem in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed and grotty bedroom. We explained that even due to mould, we were ok to pay for the one night we’d stayed, but didn’t want to stay the other six nights we’d booked in advance. They made us pay for a total of three nights (the one we’d stayed plus an additional two) even though the condition of the room was appalling. We had no choice as they had our credit card details and this was the terms and conditions of Hotels.com. The hotel was rude, unapologetic for the terrible condition of the room, and unprofessional. Thankfully we checked into L’Arlatan only a few metres down the road and had a fantastic stay - a world apart from La Muette!
