This beautiful apartment, La Dolce Vita Pied dans l\'Eau really does offer \"the sweet life\"! On the first floor of a historic building, La Dimorra dell\'Antico Porto, it nestles between the shores of Lake Maggiore and the oldest square in Arona, the Piazza del Popolo. The location is steeped in history, with the 14th-century harbour next door and a charming little church opposite which dates from 1592. The building\'s 16th century arches and wrought iron balconcies are decorated with the coat of arms of the Borromeo family, just adding to its appeal.

The sun-soaked apartment comfortably accommodates groups of up to 6 and is an outstanding choice for your city break. On entering the apartment, guests will find a bright and airy open-plan space, tastefully decorated with terracotta flooring throughout. The walls display parts of the original stonework of the harbour building similar to an art gallery and large windows showcase stunning views of the piazza below. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, microwave, and fridge freezer, perfect for a meal on the go. The living area is furnished with a large comfortable sofa, a flat-screen HDTV with satellite connection and an elegant dining table with 6 chairs. Two sets of French doors open to the sunny balcony and the spectacular view of the lake and Rocca di Angera. The apartment benefits from air conditioning in the summer and central heating in the winter, making it a perfect year-round residence. WIFI is also available.

The apartment is centrally located in the busy Piazza and local bars and restaurants are just a stone’s throw away. Although a car is not required, public parking is available for a small fee.

The town of Arona is a charming spot with a lakeside promenade, wonderful streets to discover and offers breathtaking views of the lake and mountains beyond. Situated in Piazza del Popolo, the apartment is a stone’s throw away from wonderful bistros, bars and restaurants and you can enjoy culinary influences from France, Switzerland, and Italy of course, suited to all budgets.

A hillside path leads from Piazza del Popolo to the home of Rocca di Angera. Nestled amongst gardens and chapels this was the Sacro Monte di San Carlo was once the tallest in the world. Take the ferry and visit the small islands of Isola Bella and the Palazzo Borromeo, the imposing 17th Century palace, and its famous gardens. Milan’s Malpensa is the closest airport to the Apartment, with connections to all major European cities. The airport is about 30km away and is a comfortable 40-minute drive.
