Disappointed stay

We were 2 familie checked in to the hotel. Relativtly expensive, hence expected a decent standard, but the hotel didnt even have a minimum proper facilities to justify the cost. Bad/old towels No soap No water bottles A/C didn't work well in some rooms Remote controls were missing Rust doors in the bathroom (was not possible to get out if/when closed from in side) Clogged drainage Strong smell from the washrooms Broken closet seats Broken tap Breakfast is minimum Bugs in the pool Overall the the hotel is result of a poor maintainance and lack of knowledge of hotel management. However the service people tried to do their best. Due to late arrivel after a long drive we had no option than staying there.

Skuffende ophold på Guitar Bay – nu Grand Bay Vi bookede et dobbelt deluxe-værelse på Guitar Bay, som nu har skiftet navn til Grand Bay. Desværre levede værelset på ingen måde op til beskrivelsen ved booking. Der stod blandt andet, at værelset skulle indeholde: Gratis toiletartikler – det var der ikke. Fjernsyn – det var der ikke. Køleskab – det var der ikke. Siddeområde – det var der ikke. Daglig rengøring – det blev ikke udført. Der skulle være varmt vand – det var der ikke. Toiletrulleholderen virkede ikke. Der var heller ingen skraldespand på værelset. Derudover var der mange myrer på værelset, og i løbet af vores to nætters ophold havde vi også en kakerlak på værelset. Airconditionen var faktisk det eneste, der fungerede, som det skulle. Der er en pool på hotellet, men den virkede desværre heller ikke særlig ren. Vores indtryk var, at den kun blev rengjort én gang om ugen, om mandagen. Det er selvfølgelig helt fair, hvis et hotel er simpelt og har få faciliteter – men så skal beskrivelsen også stemme overens med det, man faktisk får. Når man booker et deluxe-værelse ud fra en række konkrete faciliteter, forventer man naturligvis, at de er til stede og fungerer. Samlet set var opholdet meget skuffende og levede langt fra op til det, vi havde betalt for eller kunne forvente ud fra bookingbeskrivelsen. Vi havde kun to nætter, og det var derfor ekstra ærgerligt, at så mange af de lovede faciliteter enten manglede eller ikke fungerede.
