Once a working farm in the Ashford Valley, it retains the country farmhouse feel with no neighbors nearby. The 11-acre property includes a grove of old cedars, with a hot tub tucked under them, open pasture, and a pond that is stocked annually with rainbow trout. Guests are invited to fish for their dinner but asked to limit their catch to one meal per person. Located 1-mile from Copper Creek Inn and 3 miles from Mt Rainier National Park entrance, it shares the eleven-acre property with Tahoma Canyon Home. There is no line of sight from one to the other.

Wonderful Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin with easy access to Mt Rainier NP. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook. My only complaint is with the pillows and bed, it was not comfortable for me and I didn’t sleep well the nights we were there, and a few chipped/cracked dishes could use replacing. A big shout out to their restaurant’s blackberry pie which we bought a slice and ate while hiking. I would recommend this place to other travelers.

Cozy Nature Hideaway
We woke up to about 40 elk right outside the cabin door grazing in the yard. It was amazing to see them throughout our stay. The cabin has a lot of original charm and character, but still has full modern amenities. It was exceptionally clean, with thoughtful touches. For example, all of the Teflon pans and cooking dishes are clean, scratch-free and it has silicon utensils to keep them that way. The pond is stocked with trout, and it was awesome to have the full property to explore. Very comfortable beds, a hot tub, and very close 5 minute drive to Mt. Rainier National Park entrance. The history of the cabin and local area is in a binder with photos which was fun to read about. The online listing photos don’t do the cabin and property justice- it is a gem and we will be back!
