The only reason I gave four stars is the parking situation kind of stinks- there is no parking except street parking, and we had to drive around a bit to find a spot somewhat nearby. You have to carry your luggage up a decent amount of stairs, which you’re told about ahead of time, but just be prepared. Also, if you’re a tv person, there’s no tv in the room- we actually really liked that, but it was unexpected. There is also no air conditioner, so we needed to keep the windows open all night for my hot-blooded husband. That being said, this was our favorite hotel of the trip. The front desk staff was lovely and friendly, the lobby is so fun and eclectic, and the room and decor was fun and funky. Loved it.

I had such a wonderful stay at The Norblad during my visit to Astoria. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and unique. The hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern design—high ceilings, stylish décor, and a minimalist, artsy vibe that really stands out compared to a typical hotel stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day exploring the town. I especially appreciated the quiet, cozy feel—it felt like a retreat while still being right in the heart of downtown. The location is unbeatable: just steps away from great restaurants, coffee shops, and the waterfront. It made exploring the city so convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations that made my trip even better. Overall, The Norblad was great. If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable place with character in the heart of Astoria, this is it. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Street parking but very easy to find. No elevator so you will have to carry your luggage to the second floor. Not too bad if you only have a small luggage. Water pressure was a bit low, but the bathroom is big and clean. The bedding is amazing, so soft and fluffy.

US needs more Norblad hotels.

Solo senior female, Norblad felt safe, more like home, other guests more like-minded, less transient. I would prefer this "model" hotel anytime, especially when visiting boutique cities like Astoria.

Pretty building poor stay

This hotel has shared bathrooms and showers, which I did not know about before booking. I also got locked out of the hotel because they did not tell me that they lock the doors at night.

Norblad stay fun

Very nice . Kind of an adventure having the bathroom separate but that was fine. Very reasonably priced for a holiday weekend. Near lots of restaurants and shops, and the Liberty Theater. Would highly recommend

Loved this hotel! It was charming and in a great location. The only thing that would have *really* improved my stay would have been a white noise machine and a door sweep at the bottom of the door to keep the light out at night. The bed and bedding were comfortable, the bathrooms and showers were spotless, the other guests were very quiet and courteous. I really enjoyed it!
