We had a wonderful stay - so close to the port but with a more luxurious atmosphere than other similarly situated hotels. Lovely, friendly reception staff and housekeeping. The room was beautiful with wrap around terrace views of Piraeus and beyond. Immaculate and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic little hotel right near the train station, literally 150 metres walk. The staff at this hotel are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would happily stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends.

Very nice accommodations. Walking distance from ferries leaving Piraeus port. Very attentive and helpful staff. Restaurant attached to hotel open from breakfast until 1:00am. Great food and service. Highly recommend for those catching a ferry to the Cyclades or elsewhere.

The Athenarum Portus Hotel is a beautiful hotel. Very clean and quiet rooms. The staff were all very helpful and served customers with beautiful smiles. The area around it is underwhelming, it’s the port so very busy, gritty with a lot of rundown buildings. The two things I hope hotel management/owner would look into is the lack of a shower door, while the bathroom is very modern, that missing shower door makes it very tricky to take a shower and try to keep the bathroom floor dry and water on tile can be quite dangerous for slips and serious injury. The other is the position of the room safe! It would make more sense to move it to a higher level. Us older people cannot lie on the floor to use it. For those 2 reasons I gave a 4 star and not a 5.
