Although we were only at the Athens Gate one night, it was very clean and nice accommodations. Helpful agent at check in. And the rooftop restaurant was amazing. The food and view were fantastic!

The Athens Gate Hotel restaurant has a wonderful view of the acropolis. The dinner at night at the rooftop restaurant with the lights on the Parthenon made a beautiful memory. The hotel is in easy walking distance to so many famous sites.

We spent 3 days/2 nights in Athens at the beginning of our Greece vacation. Athens Gate Hotel was the perfect location having limited time to see the primary attractions. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to any needs. The hotel is 1 block from a primary entry to the Plaka neighborhood. Shops an Tavernas are plentiful within a short walk. The Acropolis South Slope entrance and Acropolis Museum were both less than a 5-minute walk. The neighborhood of Monastraki with its shopping/market is only a 15 minute walk. We recommend paying the extra $25-$30 euro per night fee for a guaranteed Acropolis or Olympic temple of Zeus view. Rooms have larger open balconies. Definitely worth it.

The hotel was perfect for me. Enjoyed the Air Conditioning and the safety of the place. Like many hotels in Europe the elevator was small so with luggage I had to wait until it was empty so I could get on it with luggage. The breakfast was just OK. I was hoping for better fruit options. The view, the service and the coffee were all excellent.

Overall was good. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Most of common area and rooms are updated some heat however no power outlet in bathroom so hard to use electric toothbrush and curing/flat iron, shaver etc. same issue with one side of nightstand has no power outlet so hard to charge phone etc. around hotel souvenirs shops and restaurant are available. Best part of hotel is super close up Acropolis and roof top restaurant had a spectacular views of Acropolis in the morning to sunset and dinner hour.

Hotel is very clean. Service is excellent. Small elevators. Rooms are small but very nice. The restaurant is on the top floor with a view of the Acropolis's. The food is very good. We would pick this hotel again.
