It’s a motel.

I pulled up to the hotel not realizing it is actually a motel, which would have been fine had I not been traveling alone. My room was actually inside the hotel portion - so I was not too worried. But the ice maker on my floor was literally right outside the door to my room. Loud and annoying. Walked into my room and though it was clean, it was old and nasty. Stains in the shower, cheap pillows. I ended up leaving - didn’t even unpack my bag.

Did not like- dirt in threshold of room-first impression of room. No pool even though in he ad , it said there was a pool-there were towels on the rack near the pool even though we were told pool had not been open since Covid. There were no cups or chair in the room. Had to pull night stand out to plug in phone and it was filthy underneath. The shower was designed so that water flowed in the dressing area and we had to use towels to mop up the water which left us short on towels. I would never recommend Best Western in Athens, GA

Infront of my room were bags of trash all type of stuff that smells. My tub was clogged whomever cleaned before didn't remove the previous rags from off the shower curtain because one fell once i moved the shower curtain and one was still hanging. but the guy at the front was vey nice.

I can only base my review on the exterior entry rooms.The main tower may be better. My first room had small black bugs on the stained sheets. The bedding in second room still did not appear properly cleaned. There doesn't seem to be much care taken for the exterior rooms. Something seems wrong with the plumbing. I could hear noises from the adjoining rooms from the toilet and the one in my room didn't flush properly.The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice TV in the room. Those were the only positives. I wouldn't book again.

It was clean and quiet. The lights by the bed did not work. No breakfast. The is a combo new hotel with motel. Our motel room was updated but not exactly the atmosphere we were expecting. That being said it was safe, clean and a place to stay for a night.

Ok, not good, not horrible.

The joker was easy to find and within walking distance of downtown (20 minutes). But it’s an older property in need of renovation and maintenance. The a/c unit was very loud to the point we had to changed rooms, the staff was very accommodating and found us a new room. Mildew in the bath tubs and stains on the bedding.

Where do I start? It was college weekend and the hotel was full. We had 2 towels for 2 people for 3 nights. No cups in room and 1 small garbage can. They never cleaned the room for 3 days. The room had not been vacuumed or cleaned before we got there. We found potato chips, sequins and staples on the dirty filthy rug. My white socks were discolored from the rug. There was no one at the front desk at night and until 9am except an older security guard. The windows in the lobby were pour water from holes above them. On top of this, they jacked the prices 3 fold because of graduation weekend. I'm contacting Best Western to complain.
