Country feel for airport hotel

The staff were very friendly and it was great to have the shuttle not only to and from the airport but also to and from a local restaurant, which was excellent. We were a little concerned when we arrived because the hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but it was just down a quiet street and not far from a cute seaside town.

This was a wonderful stop for the night on my journey home. They’ve thought of everything, lots of little details to make the stay comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, airport shuttle was prompt. Would stay here again no question.

Our stay was perfect for our last night in Athens before flying out the next day. We took an Uber to Fira for one last day (easy to do) trip. The planes are quite loud going overhead, but there don't seem to be many flights during the night, but they do begin early in the morning.

There are so many things wrong with this property that I’m not sure where to start. First, this place is not affiliated with Comfort Inn at all, so don’t be misled — this “hotel” is full of random old furniture crammed into various corners, proof that it’s literally someone’s grandma’s old place. It’s cramped, run down, humid and mildewed, and full of mosquitos and other random bugs. We killed at least 20 mosquitos before we slept and then barely slept through the night thanks to a bunch of other mosquitos buzzing in our ears, and we also got bit all night long. As I’m writing this, I have 7 mosquito bites on my face. It was hard to tell where the bugs were all coming from since the whole place looks like it’s coming apart. You lock the door yourself from the inside with a skeleton key that look like an antique. The actual lock on the door is missing, either from it rotting off the door frame, or because someone broke it. Not sure if they were trying to get in or break out, but maybe the latter is more likely, given the state of things. The free airport shuttle takes much longer to get to and from the airport than advertised, and it’s the crustiest van I’ve seen in my week-long stay in Greece. The thing was falling apart. The “restaurant” is the “hotel management” (the lady who owns the place) offering to cook up some food from what sounds like her own kitchen. I’ve seen all kinds of hotels, airbnbs, hostels, etc. and this was truly the worst, most deceptive of all.

Maria and staff were wonderful. Quick response to request for a pickup from the airport. Great spot just 15 minutes to the airport. Inn is charming with a great courtyard. Makes you want to stay longer and not just use it as a transit booking as I did. Great recommendations to seaside restaurants and free shuttle to and from restaurants as well. Shuttle to airport at 6am was on time.

The hotel pickup was a bit confusing. We had to contact the hotel multiple times to connect with the shuttle. Our driver was very nice and friendly but the shuttle van was very rundown and stained and smelled bad. Upon arrival we were a bit surprised at how remote the area was. We struggled with the WiFi and trying to get some food for the evening. The staff was helpful and assisted us to place a delivery food order because we needed a Greece number in order to place it. We ordered delivery because did not feel safe to venture out on our own to find somewhere to eat. The room we booked was spacious but the extra bed linens were dirty. There were a total of 2 pillows for a place that should potentially accommodate up to 6. The shower is tiny. I’m a small person and struggled to find space to put my arms over my head to wash my hair. Walking around barefoot our feet were filthy. Overall it was nice to be close to the airport for our early flight and the shuttle was prompt and reliable but the online photos are very deceptive making the villas seem much nicer than they actually are in person. For the nightly price we paid for a one night stay we expected a much better “hotel-like” experience.

Delightful surprise for a property close to ATH airport with prompt and reliable transfer to airport as well as local restaurant. The apartment (for 7) was clean, comfortable. Somehow some mosquitos got in the apartment, but other than that the place was above my expectation. We had a pleasant stay.

We did not stay here— the airport shuttle van was very dirty, smelly, a hole in a door. When we arrived and went our room we couldn’t access internet, called the office and were told there was a problem. We had a 6:30 am flight and did not feel comfortable, between the van situation and no internet to check our flights, and being unsure who we could contact in the office at 3:30 am if van didn’t show, we opted to leave after being there for 1 hour.

The Comfort Stay is a small independently run facility that, although it is close to the airport, there is nothing around it in terms of restaurants, bars, or other hotels. If you’re looking for a less expensive alternative and don’t care about night life, it’s worth a try.
