Very well run hotel in central Athens location.

Pros: Very central, no glitches, seemed very professionally run and is very comfortable.
Location: Central Athens, close to Syntagma,Plaka, public transport/taxis, good location for sightseeing. Close to Ermou Street, the main shopping street.
I stayed around 4 days in August for sightseeing. The hotel is centrally located, handy for Syntagma Square and the Plaka. I had a large, very comfortable room. The bathroom was a good size as well. Lots of hot water for showers and very comfortable bed. TV and air conditioning easily adjustable. An excellent buffet breakfast with hot food each morning. Staff were charming and exceptionally helpful.

Very good additional service

Overall the staff are helpful and obliging but the extra assistance given to all guests by the member of staff that talks to everyone at breakfast to sort out problems,help with ideas and sort out flight check-in is exceptional. Well done. Only criticism is the lift which is very slow and small.

A brilliant trip

The hotel was a very friendly place to be. Close to the Acropolis, Roman Agora, Ancient Agora, Syntagma Square and the nice Monstraki area which has lots of stalls, shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and very helpful, who try to help you make the best of your trip, giving you maps and additional information about exploring the surrounding area. The breakfast room always has a good selection of food to choose from and the view from the roof of the Acropolis and surrounding area is amazing :D You also have the chance to go to the hotels sister hotel further down the road to have another good view of the Acropolis. Overall, this has been one of the best holidays I have been on for a very long time and I would definitely go back :D

Location was really perfect. Breakfast was ok. No view at all on the balcony. There was only many other buildings very closely surrounded to see.

Hotellin sijainti on erinomainen lähellä keskustaa, mutta rauhallisen kadun varrella. Hinta-laatu suhteen hyvä valinta.

Joulu Ateenassa

Hotelli oli rauhallinen ja viihtyisä, Joka paikkaan oli lyhyt matka. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja kielitaitoista. Äänieristys ei parasta laatua. WI-FI takkuilu huoneessa. Aaamiainen maukas ja monipuolinen.

Très pratique, très correct

Pour un hôtel du centre, voire de l'hypercentre d'Athènes, une recommandation sans hésiter. En effet, l'endroit est plus que correct, avec une admirable terrasse (ou plus exactement, la vue sur l'acropole y est admirable), des prestations honnêtes, une chambre parfaitement sympathique (et un petit balcon idéal). Le personnel y est charmant, à l'athénienne, amical, souriant et sans détours rhétorique inutile.

Sehr gutes Hotel an zentraler Lage

Das Hermes Hotel war ideal für unseren fünftägigen Aufenthalt in Athen. Trotz der Nähe zum geschäftigen Syntagma - Platz liegt das Hotel sehr ruhig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausserordentlich reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alle Angestellten waren überaus hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Hotelmanagerin begrüsste alle Gäste persönlich während des Früstücks und gab individuelle Tipps zu Ausflügen. Diese Freundlichkeiten und die persönliche Betreuung lassen über das zu schwache Internet und den alten Fernseher hinwegsehen.
