The modern, spacious penthouse was comfortable once warmed up. We stayed for Christmas and used the air conditioning on heat setting to warm the rooms. The intercom system was difficult to use, but we didn’t need it much. Elevator was essential since the spiral staircase was perilous, especially at night. My daughter and I used our phone flashlights to navigate it when the lift got stuck on Christmas Day. It worked again the following day. The hosts were friendly and helpful they changed the faulty light bulbs and brought batteries for the air conditioning remotes.VRBO helped us contact the hosts since they rely on WhatsApp, which we don’t use, and we couldn’t dial Greek numbers. The lounge had a large TV, but we didn’t use it. WiFi was only available in that room near the modem.Well-located near two supermarkets and a tram station. We walked to the Acropolis in under 30 mins. There are bakeries, cafes, and restaurants nearby, which was convenient when the supermarkets were closed during Christmas, Boxing Day, and the first 2 days of January. The rooms are clean and well-furnished, but the electric outlets are oddly placed. There’s a handy washing machine and dishwasher, though a microwave would have been nice. The electric shutters over the windows block light easily. The large balcony is pleasant in December and great for summer dining. The bathroom door to the en-suite doesn’t close, but this wasn’t mentioned to the host. I recommend this place for summer.
