We arrived late in the evening after our flight in was delayed. We've stayed in Markopoulo before and liked it but this section seemed much less safe. The apartment is on the second floor despite being advertised as first. We didn't love dragging our bags up the steep stairs for the few hours we were staying before another flight the next day. When we reached the apartment we found the door open. Not unlocked but open. We weee tired and had already dragged our bags so we stayed anyway. It was just my 17 year old daughter and I so in retrospect probably a bad idea. There is filthy futon for a couch and one very hard bed. There were no blankets provided just one mismatched sheet. The kitchen was nice as the pictures depict but the rest of the apartment is just gross and uncomfortable. I did not even want to sit on the furniture. But it was only for a few hours as we had to be back at the airport for a 6am flight.
