Most of the furniture in the room was broken. Additionally, my key stopped working for the elevator. I went to the front desk twice, but I received no assistance. I had originally requested a room with two beds, but they were out of those. I was supposed to receive either free breakfast or a credit, but instead, they charged me the full price. I called four times and then sent an email. Eventually, I did receive the credit, but no one should have to go through this for just a one-night stay.

The venue is great but we had a 40/60 bad experience at check in, we arrived at midnight after loosing our connection and the gentleman that receives did not make an effort to support to support us or it seems either tired or not interested in having after a couple of questions a ask him. To our surprise is a Michelin Hotel which is supposed to be over the top in customer service, the rest was good.

Rude Security, Unexpected Fees & Poor Management

I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Candler during my birthday celebration. While taking a picture in the lobby with my phone, a security guard confronted me, saying no pictures were allowed. This was disheartening, as I specifically booked this hotel for its beautiful lobby ambiance. Things only got worse when the same security guard harassed me and accused me of not being a guest, which was both embarrassing and completely uncalled for. At checkout, I was abruptly asked to leave within 30 minutes, despite my husband speaking with management about our stay. To make matters worse, I was later charged a late check-out fee. This experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome on what was supposed to be a special occasion. The only positive part of my stay was the bellhop, who was absolutely amazing. Their kindness and professionalism stood out in an otherwise disappointing experience. Hospitality should be about making guests feel comfortable, not mistreated. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who values professionalism and good customer service.
