Summary:
One block back from Onetangi Beach, Beach Days is a classic Waiheke bach with sea views, north-facing sun, and easy access to the sand, two seaside cafés, and the vineyards of the Onetangi “vineyard valley.”
The Space:
Beach Days is a simple, elevated bach designed for relaxed beach living. The home sleeps up to five guests across two bedrooms, both positioned to capture sea views and morning light. The lounge opens directly onto the north-facing deck, a sunny spot for meals, reading, or unwinding after a swim.
The main bathroom is upstairs alongside the bedrooms and living areas. A second shower sits downstairs with the laundry facilities and is accessed via external stairs, useful after beach days or rinsing off sandy gear.
The kitchen is practical and well set up for easy meals at home, though with cafés, takeaways, beach days, and local vineyards all close by, most guests find themselves drifting easily between the house and the shoreline.
The bach offers an uncomplicated, comfortable base with a simple living, sea views, and an easy rhythm throughout the day.

The Neighborhood:
Beach Days sits on an elevated, north facing site one block back from Onetangi Beach. The position is sheltered and sunny, with easy access to one of Waiheke’s best swimming beaches and long stretches of golden sand. The beach is well suited to relaxed mornings, swimming, and unhurried walks along the shoreline.
A short walk from the house brings you to two beachfront cafés. Charlie Farley’s is a long standing local favourite for breakfast, coffee, and casual meals right on the sand, while Beach Store Waiheke offers simple counter food and takeaway coffee just steps from the water.
Onetangi is one of the island’s strongest dining areas and several popular options are close by. Three Seven Two sits just across from the beach and is known for modern coastal dishes in a relaxed setting. Ki Māha is another Onetangi favourite, offering refined beachfront dining with a seasonal menu and views out over the bay.
The home is also close to the Onetangi vineyard valley, an area known for its cluster of well regarded wineries. Tantalus Estate offers a polished vineyard restaurant and cellar door tastings, while Stonyridge is one of Waiheke’s most recognised estates and a popular choice for long lunches among the vines. Obsidian provides a more boutique tasting experience, and Casita Miro is known for Mediterranean style shared plates and wide valley views.
With the beach, cafés, restaurants, and vineyards all nearby, Beach Days offers an easy base for guests wanting to enjoy both the coast and Waiheke’s food and wine scene without spending much time in the car.
Getting Around:
Regular buses operate around Waiheke and connect Onetangi Beach with Oneroa, Palm Beach, and the Matiatia Ferry Terminal.
Taxis are available on the island, though they can be expensive, so planning ahead is recommended.
There is on-site parking at the property, and most places are within a short drive.
Other Things to Note:
The property is accessed via 30 stairs and is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The second bathroom (shower + laundry) is accessed externally.

Waiheke relies entirely on rainwater tanks, and water is a limited natural resource on the island. To support sustainable living and protect local supply, especially during the drier summer months, we ask guests to be mindful of their water use throughout their stay.
