Excellent communication, we had beach front, well worth the money, rrlex on thd terrace and watch the boats go by. Restaurant close by. 2 min walk. Breakfast cafe 3 min walk. Would definitely stay again. Reccomend.
Amazingly convenient for a wedding over at Howick Historical Village, just a 10 min taxi or drive away. Staff was amazing and accomodating and there are two spots to grab food from on the same street. No complaints. Made our trip to the area easy.
This property is unbeatable in location, right on the parade (or “strand” if you speak American English), with unobstructed view of the water. However, I cannot think of a worse management team than the one I encountered in my multiple stays at this motel in recent months. The interiors of the rooms/chalets are under poor repair. Everywhere you look you see signs of neglect and apathy of Management. For examples, the curtains in the rooms are either way too long (dragging on the floor) or too short, and are wrinkled/dirty. The carpet in one of the chalets I was in had large stains all over. The baseboards near the kitchen were covered in dirt marks and grime, the closet was unusable because they put a bed against it, leaving insufficient space for the door to open correctly. Then, in the bathroom, they would have signs that say if you leave stains on their towels, they’ll charge you a fee. What kind of motels/hotels would say that to their customers? Then there was the noise issue. In one of our stays, there was a big party (like a frat party) which was playing music on loud speakers and people were shouting. We started calling the Office at around 9 pm.to ask for help to quiet the party down. Management dragged their heels until we said at about 9:40 pm that we would call the police if this were to not stop. We DO NOT recommend this motel.
The manager and staff were friendly and efficient. It had a lovely outlook , convenient close to all facilities , transport and walking promenade . The motel had a full kitchen and was very spacious . Serviced daily even on public holidays. The road was a little busy daytime and exposed to the wind . We had a ground level motel which was great except for the people upstairs making a lot of noise running about and playing loud music if it wasn’t for that I’d say an excellent place to stay .Also an easy commute to the airport by car .
We didn't enjoy our stay here at all. First night we got not no sleep because people down stairs were very noisy and kept been noisy after the manager even talked to them. Then later on at 4 in the morning we had to ring 111 as we had drunk people banging on our door threatening us.
The place is a great spot, great service was reasonably cleaned. Very dated and needs some money put into the place.
