Summary:
Set above native bush in a central Waiheke location, Genuine Kiwi Bach is a relaxed, family-friendly home with flexible sleeping across a main house and separate sleep-out. With easy access to Little Oneroa Beach, Oneroa Village, and the island’s vineyards, it’s a practical and comfortable base for families or groups.
The Space:
Genuine Kiwi Bach is designed for simple, easy living, with open-plan spaces, bush outlooks, and a layout that works well for families and mixed groups. The main house centres around a combined kitchen, dining, and lounge area, filled with natural light and set up for shared meals, games, and time together. An indoor fireplace adds warmth during cooler months, while the overall feel remains relaxed and uncomplicated.
A covered outdoor dining area with heating and a BBQ extends the living space outdoors. This area works well year-round, offering shelter for evening meals or relaxed afternoons while surrounded by native bush.
The main house includes two bedrooms and one bathroom. A separate sleep-out provides two additional bedrooms and a second bathroom, creating flexibility for extended families, friends travelling together, or older children wanting their own space. The sleep-out is close to the main house and accessed externally.
The grounds include flat lawn areas suitable for children to play. Surfboards and kayaks are stored on site for guest use, making it easy to enjoy nearby beaches.

Oneroa Village is nearby and provides supermarkets, cafés, boutiques, galleries, and dining options, including The Oyster Inn. The location also offers convenient access to both the Matiatia passenger ferry and the Kennedy Point car ferry.

The property is around ten minutes’ drive from both Matiatia Wharf and Kennedy Point. A public bus stop is located at the end of the street, with services running through Oneroa and onward to the ferry terminal.
Most island destinations, including beaches, vineyards, and villages, are easily reached by car. Taxis and rideshare services are available, though can be limited during peak periods.
Other Things to Note:
Minimum stays apply: 7 nights from mid-December to mid-January, 3 nights on holiday weekends, and 2 nights at all other times.
The property is pet friendly, however it is only partially fenced. Dogs must be supervised at all times.
The grounds include steps and sloping areas and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Like most Waiheke homes, the property uses rainwater tanks. Guests are asked to use water thoughtfully during their stay.

The home is set up for a private and independent stay. For life-threatening emergencies, including medical events or fire, guests must call 111 immediately. For urgent, non-life-threatening property issues outside business hours, an after-hours contact number is provided in the arrival information.
