Rooms are clean. Spacious kitchen and lounge room. About a 15-20min walk to central Auckland downtown. The walk could be physically demanding for most. (Hills) …. The location of this place is great. It’s along a street with lots of vintage shops, clothing stores, bars and restaurants. Metro station is very close by but wasn’t operating while I was there. Bus stops right outside the door.

Check in was fast and easy, front desk staff were friendly. Bunks were comfortable and bathrooms were good. Walls are paper thin, so you hear lots of noise from inside and from outside.

Very good staff and great price. Good accommodations throughout the building including kitchen, living room, and laundry room. The rooms were more spacious than my prior experiences living in a hostile hotel. The interior of the building was clean. Rooms were well maintained. The location is within walking distance to downtown Auckland. You may prefer to Uber, but I never needed an Uber. My legs got me everywhere. I would definitely return for another stay on my next trip to New Zealand.

Cozy and good location

I had never stayed in a hostel before. It was a good experience. I got a very good rest and the location was close to downtown and many good places i could walk.

I stayed in a shared room with 20 beds but only like 5 other people actually there. It was pretty chill, great location and access to lots of restaurants and downtown Auckland right there. Lots of lockers including under my bottom bunk, just used my own lock and had no issues with it. Showers nice and hot, very clean space overall. Great big kitchen and the staff was awesome. Would stay here or another haka lodge again for sure!
